I haven't been paying attention to these new crossover lines so I didn't notice them.

    So...
Ectotron is based from CW Hot Spot.
    Gigawatt based from Siege Sideswipe.
X jet(don't know his name) SS Jetfire.
Maverick is the only one I'm not sure what mold he is based from.

Makes me think he just had no motivation or sense of purpose in life for millions of years until he got to earth.

Ectotron does share some parts with CW Hot Spot, but really he is more new than reused and Maverick is an original mold, not reused from anything

While a machine planet like Cybertron likely wouldn’t have deserts of the kind we have on Earth, I think, after the long war there would be plenty of waste land.

It does raise the question where Sandstorm got the first syllable of his name, though. Is there sand or any Earth on Cybertron? Was he originally called something else, and did he take another name on Earth, much like the later Maximals and Predacons of the Beast Wars era? That doesn’t seem to be something the original transformers did, but then again the names we know them as would likely be English approximations of Cybertronian names which could changed a bit in translation.

Siliconblast = Sandstorm. Etc. Yes that’s a rubbish example name I just thought up. Glassblast? Maybe I’ll leave the names for others.

If we start picking apart the names of Transformers, it all starts to fall apart. Did Jazz listen to Jazz before crashing to Earth millions of years ago? Do bumblebees or other Earthian insects exist on Cybertron? Some names are ambiguous like Grapple or Hoist. But, why start trying to question the reasoning behind names of characters we’ve lived since 1984?

Skywarp - "Where'd you score your next Fasttrack dinner from?"

Sky Lynx - "I found him in the Cyberverse section in the toy isles at Walmart!"
Skywarp - "Don't you mean Transformers section?"

Sky Lynx - "No I mean Cyberverse section! There is no transformers section at those stores only Cyberverse sections that employees randomly on rare occasions deposit a transformer!"
Skywarp - "Really? That's so sad! There's way more transformers they could be putting out on shelves!"
Red Alert - "I guess the Cyberverse toyline is well named at this rate they will form their own universe swallowing up all the toy sections and eventually the stores and everything else!"
Fasttrack - "Maybe you shouldn't eat me then! I'm a hard to come by commodity!"
Sky Lynx - "Fear not, I have ordered several skids worth of Fasttracks online, the supplier was more than happy to make the sale because they needed more room in the warehouse for Cyberverse!"
    Fasttrack - "Damn!"

Yeah probably makes the most sense that he’s got something like Jazz. Translational stuff. Or it could just be that he only got his name on earth, like Cheetor or Bumblebee.

I think maybe cause he was originally from Paradron, he’s seen a lot more planets that would have actual sand. And so maybe he survived a sandstorm, hence the name.

Who knows maybe Sandstorm is just an extra seeker (created on earth) that hangs in the deserts, someone mentioned he specializes in Desert warfare a few posts back and I think I’ll go with that. Honestly I think the mold pulls off the color scheme and pattern well, def would be interesting to see what he’d look like in the Starscream mold tho. But I doubt Sandstorm will make an appearance in any shows considering he’s an ER mold and ER is out already either way tho, he’s a great figure

I just got Thundercracker and Skywarp. My Skywarp has a "warped" crotch plate that looks like the plastic didn't get injected completely into the mold. I don't mind too much however. They both look beautiful in jet mode. I also have a Thrust and I noticed that Thrust definitely feels much nicer than these two. I wonder why, and if anyone who has Dirge or Ramjet feels similar.

Thank you! All of my photos are processed in Adobe Lightroom and then further tweaked in the Instagram app. I sometimes (not on these pics) also use an app called Filterloop to add grunge and other textures to make the photos look a little more lived-in. The primary adjustment I make that help give my photos their signature look is the Clarity adjustment in Lightroom and the Structure adjustment in Instagram. They both seem to do pretty much the same thing, increase local contrast to make things have extra definition. In a normal photo, turning these adjustments way up like I do would make things look really weird and artificial, but with TF photography it works really well to make all of the details really stand out. I do a lot of other things while editing but those techniques are central to my style.

Awesome. I use Photoshop Express cause I'm cheap but it has a Clarity adjustment too that I like using a lot. I agree about the details being accentuated for sure.
