Cobbled together a throne while I wait for ER Megatron. Now my S1:1984 group has parts to represent Shockwave and Reflector without removing them from my 1985 group since both appear in S1 but had toy releases in 1985. Problem solved for me.

Got inspired by @KnightHawkke and did a wheel swap on Sideswipe and Red Alert.

Getting Arcee number-2 allowed me the opportunity to determine how much added paint could improve the toy. At the very least, either doing her feet or giving her the 80s lipstick does wonders in the long run, followed by the neck whether you go in with light pink or plain white. For the baseline of touching up, I would say being able to do the lips (ideally the whole face), neck, and feet should be the priority before going for more serious places like the arms and the unpainted back.

(Let's just say I was aiming for the netflix look w/the lack of pink on the arms.)

Now she and Springer match with their oddly yet fittingly pale faces :D

And while technically these are Generations Selects, and Netflix figures, I'm gonna put them here.

First off, while the massive spear Siege Megatron can make with his fusion cannon and sword does look better, this is still a pretty sweet super mega railgun.

Shame the barrel can't elevate. Although ironically enough the original G2 Megatron couldn't rotate the turret. It's a shame that they ran out of parts count, the spear weapon thingy could have benefited from a few more, giving it the ability to elevate the barrel, maybe an alternative way to hold it that isn't pegging it on the forearm, if not transforming into something better looking like Siege's did.

Other than that, my biggest problem is the 5mm post on his fusion cannon is a little loose. I may need to go and get clear nail polish or something to get it to stay in place better.

Okay, now it should work. Not any fancy poses, just cliff’s suicide machine and the best Quintesson face.

It's odd owning a second of Arcee because I had thought (on a whim) about getting one for alt mode only because my original has issues with the car mode shell not connecting quite right, and yet this one also has similar issues with the front wheel panels wanting to pop off the tabs. That said, third times the charm and I finally got the hang of "transforming" the mold to allow for rolling, which certainly relegates my first one to proper Action Master duty. Now to contemplate opening up another Elita to do the same...

The most consistent way I found to get the best ground clearance is to line up the panel lines on the backs of the knees with the thighs then completely bending the leg. Once it's connected to the shell's tab, you can shove the leg back to where the ridges "retain" the knees and ankles. Apologies ahead of time if someone already mentioned this.

Opened up Selects Exhaust today so I finally had the infamous Marlboro Wheeljack in Classics form. I'm glad this allows me to own both the Earthrise Wheeljack and Generations Wheeljack as different characters since I don't really like the idea of having to 'replace' figures I'm already pleased with.

It's also my first Earthrise toy period and I can see the appeal. The engineering is fabulous and it absolutely invokes the original toy. Maybe a little too well because I think the elbows, while out of necessity, look too thin to be convincing, and I much prefer the Generations figure for having a more 'emotive' look with the non-kibbly arms and looks more like a true modernized Wheeljack - he has the wrenches stored in his legs and the big backpack kibble looks like a rucksack full of gadgets and whatnot for him to use or tinker with.

It's amazing how much that paint improved her. I kind of want to get one and try to give her T30 colors, but I'm hesitant because I worry I'd screw up the face.
