Sharp-looking bunch, but can they transform?
I also think that ER SS has a better alt mode, but I also like Siege for the novelty of the tetra jet, something that Hasbro never did before, while still maintaining the same robot mode.
Upward flames because sure why not.
Optimus Prime x Rumble
RIP little dude!
Skip the weapons, just pick Anklebiterbot up and drop-kick him across the planet... LOL
I noticed also that ER uses mostly pins which looks better but will make disassembly EXTREMELY difficult to near impossible which also means that if you have a loose joint, it could be difficult to fix etx
Starscream's head up close:
I get that people are upset that Hasbro won't give SS a smirking face but I think that face fits him perfectly. It's his "Megatron just foiled his plans" face.
Yeah, I like it. I used a little bit of ink on the tip of a needle to bring out the expression. I think his biggest paint issue is the dark eyes. I would've liked light-piping or a brighter shade of red paint.
Hey everyone, did anyone ever get incorrect figures in an Earthrise box?
Anyone tried Earthrise OP's trailer on Cybertron Armorhide?
Thanks, but that's the T30 Grapple, not Hoist. Although someone in another thread has posted the comparison, and the friends fit nicely together.
That is the exact look on his face. I love it.
With the decision of using more metal pins on most of the Earthrise figures, I find the decision more bizarre if anything.
It does looks a bit nicer than a screw out in plain view, but in practice the use of metal pins makes any attempt of disassembly difficult if not impossible; If you get a copy where it has loose joints or you want to customize the figure further, it won't be that easy unlike with screws where you could easily tighten the loose joint by simply screwing the screw.
My first voyager seeker trio (along with my first Earthrise figure)! Not the lineup I expected but I’m happy with all figures.
I don't think customizing or even disassembly is taken into consideration when these things are designed.
I love to customize, but even then I am thrilled that the figures are more solid and less prone to popping apart with the addition of pins.
So I opened up Grapple and Starscream a little while ago.
Grapple is great and I'm really hoping for a Hauler repaint of him in the Selects line. I like Starscream more than I thought I would even though he still looks tubby to me and I wish he had that sweet sweet articulation that Siege Starscream has. Regardless, I'm happy with both figures, and I'm looking forward to picking up the Deluxes and Prime as well.
Opened up Prime today. He's a great figure, if a bit too leggy for my tastes. That trailer is trash though. Too small. Too light.
Great but not a £50 figure imo.
Here are some good pics of Starscream with a look at some of the inner transformation design:
