Has anyone been able to find Netflix figures in stores? I’m sure if ppl have they would keep quiet cuz how difficult to get but I really want atleast Bumblebee and Soundwave -____- I saw an in hand Soundwave for 200$ on eBay
Yeah...I should've checked that.
Grabbed 2 more Allicons at Aldis (they had many).
The Allicon search is over, yay.
I’d like to add some paint to the third one to make him a tad different & superior to the other 2 somehow.
I'm lovin' Ironhide more than I thought I would.
BBTS came through this week now I don’t have to go Hunting. Saving my gas for Bumblebee
Not sure if this is just a quirk with my specific copy of ER Optimus Prime.... but does the Matrix of Leadership of anyone else's ER Optimus fits incredibly loosely in the chest Matrix chamber? On my copy, the Matrix fits when the chamber was closed but as soon as the chest Matrix chamber was opened, it doesn't take any effort for the Matrix to drop out from the chest.
I do appreciate the thought/idea behind such 3rd party LED add-ons..... but in cases like these, all I can think of was the Quintessons Judge's Wrath face attempting a blushing "Tsundere" anime girl impression :
I’m gonna kick myself for moving my preorder to Target.
Just got Runamuk yesterday.
Eagerly anticipating his brother in arms.
Still drawn to that leering face on his crotch.
If you want, I can kick you.
Yes, who wouldn’t be.
Matrix fit on ours became quite loose over time.
Wrath was having a moment.
What are you, my wife?
Hasbro liked to Runamuck with the paint on this figure.
It’s almost scary the amount of paint on Runamuck. The hood, the roof, the rims, the grill, the chest piece, side panels, all have white paint slathered on. It’s actually a decently smooth job done, it’s just so much. The paint is so thick especially around the tabs to hold him together in alt mode. Prepare to do a lot of squeezing to keep him together. Once he’s squozen together though, Runamuck does feel very solid. The gold trim paint does look very nice as well.
Despite the thickness, Runamuck is a really cool design, feels very refreshing. In bot mode, he feels like he’s a good blend of smoothness mixed with just the right amount of molded details. Love the headsculpt with the purple eyes, which are a very nice touch.
The car mode just oozes 80s’ decadence. It feels like it should belong in the show “Miami Vice.” More painted details on the rear with the red tail lights, very nice. My copy sits nice and flush, but around the edges of the windows and the roof you can tell where the white paint is either unfinished or scuffed up. Might try to touch all that up a bit to look cleaner. He’s got a couple other very minor dirty marks on him, but overall not too bad.
But that’s one thing that concerns me about Runamuck the most is just trying to keep him clean. Scuffs and dirt are gonna show up real good against all this white paint. I think it would’ve been easier (and maybe cheaper for Hasbro) to just cast the entire figure in white plastic, except for the roof piece.
Actually, they might have done that come to think of it, which makes the paint superfluous really. Maybe they just wanted to go all out on Runamuck since he was a fan vote winner.
Regardless of the concerns I have about his paint job (which really are minor, I just want to create awareness about it), Runamuck is still a really cool looking and fun figure. He’s got an excellent throwback design to his G1 self. Even allows for his G1 look as seen above. I may not have voted for him, but I’m still glad he got made. Now I just hope I don’t get the run around while trying to find Runabout to go with him.
Trying to make a throne/vehicle for Zarak and ended up with Spittor... Darth Spittor(?)
