ER Runabout comes with 2 guns. 1 is the same as the one with Runamuck. The other one looks very familiar. Like it came with another toy. Anybody have any idea where it might’ve come from?

For any Earthrise Megatron owners:

Do the ankle tilts click and secure into place like the Siege ones did?

I’m not having any luck with mine, but I remember them being locked in when I took him out of the box. Unless the tabs are worn/weak already. I just tightened his ankle hinges today with superglue due to the ankles not locking in place

 

I'm beginning to think that they are not.

Siege had a definite CLICK that you could make happen by using 1 finger against the ankle. With ER, no matter what you do, they do not click at all; nor show any sign of a light click.

I'm guessing whatever remolding took place on the legs, or inside them, took that lock away.

Unless someone else can chime in here with their figure?

 

How much work was it? And did removing the faux wheels affect the transformation or balance at all? I'd definitely like to do that to my Battlechargers when I get them.

Whenever I look at those guns all I see are teeny tiny Metroplex handguns. The ones Sixgun's legs become.

Couple new faces in my collection

 

Yeah...pretty much.

 

Oh, I wish I was as eloquent as that meme would suggest! Some of the typos and grammatical errors I tend to miss while (questionably) proofreading my comments makes my cheeks burn red. Such a shameful display!

On the other hand, that's a Terrific Toy Trio you've gotten yourself! Poor Jackie looks like he isn't very pleased with his two fellow newbies. I can practically hear him mutter "I'm surrounded with idiots..."

Ironhide x Megatron

Received Shockwave Lab SL-90 LED kit in the mail.

It works well for 1 face, OK for 3, and poorly for the remaining face. The LEDs are button battery powered but turned on/off by a magnet. I was more interested in the magnet gimmick and may use something like that in my old LED mods. The gold magnet holder was done pretty well; the print lines are only visible up close (either done on newer high res printers or smoothed afterward). The clear LED holders in the faces do not look 3d printed.

The main problem is that the eyes are not illuminated. This is due to the face design in which the support panels have the eye, um, pillars, which is not part of the faces.

 

It took me less than a minute with a nipper (wire cutter) and an Xacto blade to smooth it out. Super easy. Doesn’t affect transformation at all and bot mode has super solid balance. The wheels are purely aesthetic and offer no structural purpose at all.

You can probably take off more than I did, and shape the remaining heel flaps however you want. I just personally liked the angular look.
