Got him!! What a cool mold. Shocking how compact that car mode gets—he even fits in the Earthrise trailer! Excited to mess with this and get him posed with the boys later.

I always found it to be boring when I was a kid. But maybe it's just me being more of a cartoon fan as a kid.

Force Fields are an amazing force multiplier. Any character can be the super strong bad ass. It's the guy who's power helps his friends I can respect more, and there's a reason half the season one and two episodes saw either Hound or Trailbreaker save the day. I think it's given me a lasting love of the two characters. They were like playing the Uno reverse trap card of the G1 Cartoon.

I did pass on grabbing Trailbreaker this morning, and didn't tell my mom to put him on my Christmas list, but I'll probably try and pick him up in the future if I get a chance.

So the wave I have all of, or will when a friend can get me that Smokescreen he grabbed me for Christmas.

Did grab Blast Master and Fuzor because I'm too much a sucker for space alt modes, and plan to do a massive rocketbase if I ever figure out where I'm putting it. Do more on that later when I can take some pics.

Be careful self-scanning streetdated figures by using other figs to get the scan.
Some Targets are treating it as thievery and yeah not worth it.

We can justify the reasons all we want, but it wont change that “stealing” comment on that criminal record.

 

Only on the back, unfortunately. They're visible enough that if you painted em or threw a Reprolabel on there you'd see them, very similar to Cliffjumper's.

Understandable. I agree that a proper weapon and spoiler would have definitely made the figure better.

 

Really seems like a situation where Earthrise is a downgrade from Universe 2.0 rather than an upgrade. This'll remain the definitive CHUG Sunstreaker for a while, I think.

 

I've never really looked at this Streaker but yikes. The knees are clunky, the chest is too big, the arm panels are just doing a "thing", tiny feet and I don't even know what is happening with that headsculpt. All in all, this guy looks like a 2010's 3rd Party that got sold for dirt cheap on TFsource.

 

Yeah, no. I mean, you do you but I feel like ER Sunstreaker puts the old CHUG version to shame.

Earthrise Sunstreaker is another great figure of the regular lineup to have in the collection and despite a few misalignments on the windshield area, which need to be adjusted with patience during the transformation, its altmode is very firm and very, very cool. It is almost impossible to detect the differences of the parts painted in yellow compared with the yellow molded plastic with the figure in hand since the painting is uniform and consistent. Without a shadow of doubt, the most accurate representation of the character in its G1 cartoon version for deluxe scale.

 

absolutely. I don't feel like they've ever hit the headsculpt as well as they did on this guy (which is notable since a lot of WFC head sculpts are just totally amazing)

I'll post this in the other thread as well, but Aldi's around me put out their ER Deluxes today. I went to the one around the corner from work here. Multiple Allicons, Smokescreens, Arcees (I think, whoever the pink chick is) and Airwaves. I'd say they had at least 3-4 each. $17.99 was the price. The Allicons are great looking figures.
