Hmm I was hoping this would come out to a similar size as Classics Bumblebee... So that I could have those two on my CHUG shelf and they'd be distinct from one another, but now I'm afraid he'll be too small.

Ok, someone is listing an early OP sample on eBay for a ridiculous price of course.

    - Cliffjumper
The transformation video confirms this for me, despite the partsform he's got big moving sections and some twists, no panel mess amazing at this size.

    - Optimus
If he has blue eyes than technically I already have almost the same figure from Siege. If Blue eyes are final, than I can sit this one out till a repaint.

    - Hoist
I think this one is great, but I will be constraining the size of my collection...he might still squeek in.

    - Starscream
The alt mode is about 30% important to me, the previous Siege Seekers I skipped because I wasn't on board with the alt mode, this one looks good I almost feel obligated.

    - Ironworks
I had this one as a kid, It needs its radar dish and the Ironworks MicroMaster (not paying $40 for just the one that I want) so this might be a pass for me. I like the concept. I feel, like the Camera bots, this one could very well get updated to include its legacy pack-ins.

I'd consider offering the guy $25 for it since it's loose.

    You'd be surprised. But...

...he had Astrotrain, loose, for sale a few weeks back for like $120.00, shipped. He's from Chicago and I find it odd that he had that figure available for sale at the same time Seibertron did. (No, I'm not saying they're the same person. I think they run in the same circles, however.)

Astrotrain, last I looked, did not sell. Hopefully, people will have the same common sense and not buy this figure from Diabalien. And y'know, not to mention, it's STOLEN.

Cliffjumper would be a must-buy even if it were bad, just to encourage Hasbro to stop passing off red Bumblebees as him. Everyone should buy at least 2 to drive that point home. I'll probably repaint my second one as Tap-Out.

Optimus is a likely buy - this is a near perfect update of the original toy, let down by the choice to give him "show accurate" blue eyes rather than the proper yellow. But a little paint can fix that. That said, I've already got good cab-and trailer Primes in Selects Star Convoy and Perfect Effect Jetpower Revive.

Hoist … maybe. I'd be more interested if I had a Grapple (or Grappel) to display him with.

Starscream depends on the reviews. He looks very much like a scaled up Classics Starscream, so he needs to bring something new to the table to get me to bite. I'm never buying another Rainbow Starscream Squadron, so redeco potential doesn't matter to me.

I hope not. Cliff and Bee should not share a mold. We've gotten too much of that already, and just because they're doing Cliffjumper first, that doesn't make it any more appropriate for the characters.

I would normally agree, but that mode with a completely new shell and head might just do a decent job

John Warden (Currently design manager for TFs) is, I believe, on record (video?) at SDCC(?) saying Bumblebee would not share a mold with Cliffjumper.
Figured I'd jump in and say it before someone else says it with a lot more snark and/or condescension.

Don't forget masterpiece follows the japanese puzzle box philosophy. They are purposeful in their design to be complicated, requiring patience to transform perfectly and should give satisfaction once formed into either mode.

Siege is a mainstream toyline and both WfC and Earthrise have achieved TF perfection; a derived balance between scale, looks, fun, simplicity/complexity and cost.

that is one disappointing alt mode, the way it displays so much robot kibble under the chassis. Seeing it from underneath is one thing, but seeing it from the side like that is terrible, IMO.

At least a Trailbreaker retool won’t be quite as obvious because of his paint scheme.
