Awesome, does it affect the transformation at all?

not really. the antenna are a bit longer and wider on galaxy upgrade prime, so you have to finesse the head a bit during transformation, but it does fully transform without having to take it off or anything like that

Thanks for the advice! I might even say that portrait is better overall. I've been meaning to get the galaxy upgrade Prime anyway. This is just a reason to speed it up.

the easiest way to transform it with the galaxy head is while the chest is all opened up, you gotta turn the head sideways and angle it a bit. aim one antenna toward the corner of the cavity it flips from. it might catch a little, but thats fine and once its inside the chest just turn it however it needs to. plus as a bonus you can put the earthrise head on the core bot of galaxy upgrade, though its a tad loose. only reasons i got galaxy prime are for the head swap and for his super mode, so the earthrise head is pretty much permanently hidden away on mine

Oh those are nice! I have a couple of official melee weapons, but didn’t like it as much as the 3rd party melee weapons but didn’t have a way to arm mount them. On till now! Thanks again :thumb .

TFSafari put up pre-orders for the Cliffjumper backpack kit:
【Pre-Order】SKW-03 Backpack connector WFC Earthrise Cliffjumper Upgrade Kit

I guess some people hate the partsforming that much. Installation appears to require pin removal from the backpack, remove stock black peg, and then replace the pin after installing the new frame. This would put the backpack on upside-down compared to stock. Print quality does appear rather poor on the prototype pics (looks like someone's home printer rather than factory 3d printing like the other groups). The whole thing can still come off, so it's not permanent. It's not clear by the description if it comes with the Bumblebee style blaster.

Cog's head is simply folded as normal, it's still there.

I hate that they didn't simply go with a screw. But I went slow with reading glasses to magnify what I was doing. The best approach was to get a tiny droplet at the tip of the hairs and dab it onto the eye.

I feel the exact same way, the only reason I want Siege Galaxy Prime is for the Galaxy mode, the base Prime is of almost no consequence, so the swap is a win/win

Exactly, and as you can see the head swap looks amazing and makes for a good marvel g1 prime

So I did something a little different, I gave
-Voyager Siege Op -> ER Op (replicate more accurate Earth Optimus)
-Leader Siege Op -> Voyager Siege Op (mimicking Stormbringer Op yellow eyes IDW 1.0)
-ER Optimus -> Leader Siege Op (mimicking Senator Optimus IDW 2.0)

It's just frustrating for collectors not in the US is all

Never saw either here. Only ever saw the second wave of micromasters in store too.

Awesome sauce!! Yes, the partsforming is annoying. Not so much that I wouldn't want it anymore but this sure attracts me as a potential buyer! :)
I'll wait for video reviews though, cos you can never be sure about the quality of this kinda stuff

    This.. it's hella frustrating! :(
I hope they wash up somewhere online for decent prices, like the rainmakers. Then again, the rainmakers are significantly less popular than the original 3.. so, I doubt I will ever get them for 60 €. Forget it.. there goes my dream to finally have 3 seekers :'(

Neat idea! But we're approaching voyager price point for a mini-bot size figure because HasTak doesn't give a crap...
Sigh. I may think about if I manage to grab Cliff on some really good sale :)  for now I'm already waiting for their Spinister kit.

Who plans to pick up the Earthrise Smokescreen? I already have the Siege Selects version and love having the 3 Datsun brothers (never got Barricade) in the same mold but I like the coloring of the Earthrise figure and the look including the skirt kit.

I prefer the overall aesthetic of earthrise smokescreen, I only got Prowl and Barricade for siege. I don't have much of a connection to smokescreen but if they were to do a new prowl in that same aesthetic i'm sure i'd snag it immediately. It looks like a much stronger figure overall than the siege datsuns in my opinion, so I may end up getting Earthrise Smokescreen just to have a full set, because as we have seen, Hasbro seem to want to have complete sets ie the new seekers

I have a bad feeling that ER figures, especially the main characters, will never go on sale. I predict they will become very expensive very quickly, don't you think?

I'm giving it a miss. I feel like I ticked off my Datsun needs in Siege, the extra things this mold brings offer only incremental improvements to me, and I want to vote with my dollar against the quick succession of redo's we're seeing in ER. I realise the latter will make little impact, but it feels like the right decision for me and wish nothing but joy and satisfaction for everyone getting the ER versions of Smokescreen, Starscream (and the other Seekers), Optimus, and Megatron.

A more burning question for me ( and I believe my learned friend @Bob Schoonover ) is how my Quintessons and Alicons to get.

I appreciate the potential dissonance of approving of troop building while disapproving of redos.

I am still vexed about that question. I feel like the number of Sharkticons owned is a part of the equation, but I just can't crack it. Especially since we're probably going to get new Sharkticons in WFC 3: Pandemic at the Disco
