I finally have ER Scorponok on the way.

As mentioned in previous post, I wanted to compare prices of having it sent directly from BBTS to via Stackry forwarding. The staff member was pretty helpful but didn't have the dimensions to hand but directed me to Amazon where they're listed! (I felt a bit silly not thinking of that but I honestly didn't know they showed that level of detail or I forgot.)

Considering BBTS appear to also slap the tax on that side I decided to go via Stackry proxy address forwarding service as it definitely looked a much better deal.

It really wasn't. The dimensions were bigger than recorded at Amazon, which makes sense as Amazon is probably just recording the figure statistics itself, right? But it's obviously the whole boxed up package.

They only offered two methods of delivery, both FedEx (which doesn't bode great, considering their recent disengagement of services pretty much worldwide* but I'm sure it will arrive eventually). Both were quite a bit more than I paid for the figure.and I'm pretty sure more than of I'd had it sent direct, even including tax. (Incidentally, I couldn't really tell,.but I'm hoping the FedEx price from Stackry is all inclusive at that price, as having more slapped on top of that...yikes...

So big mistake on my part, but it's a learning experience, isn't it? This is an appreciation thread...and I appreciate that at l least, and I'm still looking forward to the big boy arriving. Including my individual Gigasaur MPs this is by far the most expensive figure I've bought.

At that price he won't be worth it, but hopefully he will be worthwhile. I plan on selling a couple of things to help recuperate a bit, though.

So yeah. Stackry. Great service (I'm not being sarcastic) but best not to use for the big lads when delivering international.

    * I work for a coffee delivery company and we use FedEx for most of our deliveries. Last two weeks have been a bit of a nuisance.
