I'm not typically on mobile but, the small screen makes the Earthrise molds look like they jumped off an animation cell. I had to do a triple take and asked myself "whoa, what molds are those" all three times.

What a weird thing to add via remolding, lol. I suppose I will find out when Lancer gets here in a few weeks.

Yesterday, I received the DNA leg extension upgrade kit for Scorponok.

Pre leg installation - Scorpy is at least a head shorter

Post leg extension - Scorponok is nearly eye to eye with Max

Overall I’m happy with the leg extension kit. The colour matches both the purple and green of the original figure. Scorpy’s height is closer to Max and with it installed he is just as stable and poseable with the longer legs than he was when shorter:

@volatus, @knoted - are you getting this kit for your Scorpy?

How is the beast mode affected by these extensions? I can imagine city mode simply looks longer than before, but beast mode is my concern. The current kits (before the legs) made it so things didn't fully tab in if you left them attached. (The ankle panels, in particular.) I'd imagine the extensions make it so nothing tabs in at all.

I only finished installing them last night. Today was just seeing how the figure fairs with longer legs and if has any detrimental impact on posability (balance/stability) in bot mode. I don’t plan to have him in scorpion mode for display but I will be a little disappointed if scorpion mode is negatively affected from the longer legs. I will need to check online or see any vids say it is compromised for this mode.

Ben (Ben's Kollectibles) installed them but only showed them off in robot mode. I'm not sure why it's so difficult to find beast mode pictures/video with these installed. Get the impression that DNA knows they sort of break functionality. They must to some degree. The legs are meant to peg in and this moves everything, so it makes sense that it would have to break that functionality. It's part of the reason I skipped the extensions. I like my modes to be rock solid and tab/peg in.

When I get a chance later this evening I will transform Scorpy to see what impact it has on scorpion and base mode.

Bot mode is solid with this leg extension kit.

Maybe somebody else who has installed this kit can comment on whether scorpion mode is compromised?

I have this kit on P\O and the other 2 kits in the closet! Just enjoying "vanilla" Scorponok for a while :)

I've seen pictures (I don't recall where though).

    With the leg extension kit:

The purple panels on the lower legs do not peg in at all in scorpion mode. You leave them pegged to the lower legs (like in robot mode). This isn't a huge deal because, it's just a single peg and the legs are fairly bulky/sturdy. Those sections sort of sit at an angle like a really wide ramp in base mode.

The tail still tabs in like it normally does for scorpion mode but, the purple hinge system for it sits at different angles and locations (IIRC the wheels no longer touch the ground).

I wouldn't say that anything looks worse but, it definitely looks different. I don't care for the difference in aesthetics though and Scorponok's legs already look super long to me in robot mode so, I skipped this set.
