Great toy! Too small! (Grumbles impotently about it being deluxe instead of voyager). Hasbro keeps getting this close ---> ] [ to perfection, then backing off.

I disagree, I prefer the Deluxe class for the most part.

Universe Galvatron an exception, but I did say for the most part. ;)

As much as I want a new Megatron.

And as much as I want to love this new figure.

    I cant...

The colors are not right. I would like a darker grey and less red...

And the size is shamefully small.

I did buy WFC Prime. And he remains in vehicle mode to this day...

I LOVE WFC BB. So maybee I'll pass on Megs and compliment BB with a Soundwave...

    Time will tell...

I also hope both WFC Optimus and Megs get repainted in a set down the line.

Maybee I'll get a "darker" Megs on the repaints? And Prime's ax?

WFC 2 ? Just a dream... Wake up! Ha!

Just got him yesterday. Awesome. Mine has tight joints and great paint apps. I thought it is gonna be some boring white, but the white has some nice matte sheen to it. Simple transformation but satifying nonetheless.

Great looking pictures, can't wait! It's so hard holding out till it comes out in retail, and even then, probably a few weeks after it becomes saturated enough in stores to find!

I totally agree. I love some voyagers as well, but I think deluxe might be the best size class overall.

being that you answer weird requests, i have perhaps the weirdest.

can you fit a lego technic beam through either hand?
it doesn't look like it from the pictures, but it would be neat to give him a bionicle mace.

Possibly. I'm not sure which part of bionicle you're referring to by "beam"

Wow I'm surprised that noone mention the back end of his cannon being the Nuclean Shock Cannon aka Detachable Turret, I mainly noticed it when Peaugh had his cannon posed on the underside of his arm and backwards.

The figure looks great, and I can't wait to grab him and Soundwave to complete my WFC collection, of course I still need to grab Bee.

I'm pretty sure he means "axle" aka "the '+' shaped bars".

yes, i meant the "cross axle"
i took a while to post because i wanted pics of the offending part.

i was thinking to give him his mace from the game i could do something like this:

it fits well into the normal hands with a couple bushings.

    (hmm? medieval england weapons?)

naturally, i thought this up before i saw what his hands really look like.

so tell us... will it fit?

Hmm. Just got this yesterday in HK. After Prime its quite a big disappointment with how simple the transformation is. But nevertheless, its still a pretty neat TF.

It seems the Hasbro designers really hate Megatron. They always seem to give him half-assed alt modes and/or transformations, only the robot mode is good.

well, i think a couple trade-offs are probly for the best with megatron.

this alt-mode being "half-baked" is most likely a matter of personal aesthetics, it looks about on par with his fellow WFCer's alts. :)
and, in terms of playability, a simple transformation is better than a more complex one.

so, Peaugh, have you managed to get home yet? :D

It's nice to see a translucent missle again, they really create a finished look to a toy replication of an energy weapon.

I personally think this Megatron looks better than his Optimus counterpart. I haven't picked up Optimus, but I might just want Megatron.

Another great review. I was originally going to pass on it, but this Megatron's bot mode is too good to pass up for the price.
