Yes. Like, when BW Megatron looks at Optimus Primal, do you think he sees a CGI gorilla? Probably not. The Kingdom toyline is imagining what a "real life" version of the characters might look like. Which is just as different an approach from the radical reinventions of Animated/Prime/Cyberverse as it is from the perfect animaton accuracy of modern MP.

    Well as I said...

These all work pretty well for me. It'll be hard for Hasbro to convince me to replace most of wfc. And from the sounds of what leakers are saying Hasbro themselves finds them to be definitive and aren't really planning on updating them anytime soon.

When Optimus Primal scratches his monkey butt, do you think he feels a smooth CGI surface, or actual fur?

I'm really not sure what's so confusing about this concept.

Okay but like the MPs are specifically based on the show models.

    These aren't. It's that simple.

I'm not sure how much I agree with this; yes they're not going for accuracy to the same degree as a Masterpiece but they are most certainly going for accuracy within the design constraints they have. Yes Starscream exists but I'd argue he's actually more of an outlier than a indicative of anything. You have toys like Optimus and Grapple/Inferno that are VERY much adaptations of the cartoon models. Toys like Sideswipe have slightly inaccurate alt modes (that aren't licesnsed like the MPs) but is still meant to look like the original alt mode and not just a fitting alt mode with a show based bot mode. These definitely aren't just "updated" the same way everything from classics to POTP was; there's FAR less stylization and liberties taken and especially Earthrise onwards they're clearly looking a lot more at the source directly. It's not really any different than the Studio Series for the movie figures is at this point.
The alt modes for the beasties for what it's worth are also not unlike what the MP line has done with the carbots; realistic alt mode with cartoon model bot mode. Even with the shift to a much more cartoon heavy look the MP line hasn't been consistent on how realistic alt modes are. Bumblebee and Optimus 2.0 ended up more cartoony; Sunstreaker meanwhile still has that real world Lambo mode including a feature for the headlights. Heck Starscream still keeps that inside of the nosecone that isn't from the show but is based on a real world f15.

I have no idea what point you’re trying to make. You seem to be doing some sort of dive into the Matrix to suggest that screen accuracy is not what we see on our screen.

I never said "screen accuracy". I specifically referred to it as a different kind of accuracy. In the actual in-universe narrative of BW it's not unreasonable to assume that Optimus Primal looks like a real gorilla, thus a realistic gorilla alt mode is accurate to what the characters most likely see him as in-universe.

That depends on how old you are. I don't think MP-52 will be beaten for a very long time if you're looking for an accurate to the cartoon official Starscream.

i never thought they could use that garbage cheetor mold and make it look good. i like cheetors cheetah mode but in robot mode it sucks. there are huge disproportion issues with the hips and the torso plus the tail scyth sucks and the lack of paint. i saw a custom painted cheetor which looked quite good.

Dude Cheetor is a great mold. If you're confused, look at any previous Cheetor molds.

That said, the tail weapon isn't great.

The mold definitely has its flaws, but it gets the job done in my opinion.

Just so I’m clear this isn’t shadow panther but a completely different use of the mold? It does look good though
