What I think would be interesting would be to vote based on a set of characters, such as Triggerbots/Cons Firebots/cons, etc.

Nah, I want Wheeljack to be a new mold. Plus, if Needlenose won, it would give Hasbro a chance to reconsider Wheeljack from the last poll.

 

I'm thinking WJ is already in, they just want more uses for that mold. Same with the rest.

 

All I want right now is a sign saying Wheeljack is a go. Leak, Code, Computer listing, anything.

 

Siege literally has zero opportunistic remolds in the main releases deluxe and above aside from leader prime and barricade (who for all intents and purposes is a new character for generations). Couple that with the fact that all of the other fan vote characters (save victorion) have been new molds and only 1 has been remolded, well after the fact (slipstream). There is no evidence to support the idea that the fanvote characters are pretools for anything

 

With this fan vote, I wonder if it's going to be for a Deluxe or Voyager.

Was just thinking about if Needlenose did win if it will be a Deluxe like what would have happened to the others if they win or Voyager like the fans demand.

 

The only way he would be sold as a voyager is if they include both of his targetmasters. Both of the double targetmasters that have been released at retail since 2013 (scoop and quake) were deluxe class, with the more recent one having a headmaster instead of his targetmasters. Also keep in mind the single modern release of needlenose (tfcc) was a deluxe as well. Adding to that, the battlechargers are typically portrayed as between minibot and carbot sized, as is gnaw and the insecticons are slightly larger than minibots. Anyone thinking the figure itself will be a voyager isn’t paying attention

 

OK, That is understandable. I just liked Needlenose's design, never knew much about him.

I will concede that there is a slim chance hasbro could go weird and make needlenose a voyager, but it wouldn’t follow their pattern of character selection or previous releases of the subgroup

 

I can still see Sureshot from Mirage. All they would need to do is retool the faux chestpiece...probably the reason it's faux in the first place.

 

I would think Needlenose would be a voyager. Don't remember if he was in the cartoon or not so I don't exactly remember his size relative to others.

SIEGE has focus on scale adherence and one would think they're falling the Sunbow control art scale charts but who really knows at the end of the day.

Just hope it has translucent plastic for a canopy and doesn't have too much kibble in jet mode. Since the F-16XL alt mode it had looked futuristic for its time, I'm hoping a new Needlenose has a jet mode that isn't too far off.

 

None of the double targetmasters ever made it into the toon. However their figures were generally smaller than standard targetmasters (similar to headmaster jrs being smaller than headmasters) and the regular targetmasters were a bit bigger than your average carbot in the cartoon

 

I think the whole Voyager Needlenose started when I saw that trading card that Needlenose's vehicle mode looked like starscream's.
