Your pessimism is unfounded in Siege. Even Shockwave is still a great figure and the right size without his upgrade parts. Then look at the latest batch ...Jetfire, Springer, Omega Supreme. Nothing in Siege has been screwed by a gimmick.

Battlechargers or Needlenose would be fine with me. Neither of the past releases we're available at Mass retail and thus unavailable to me without paying way more than I'd care to.

I’ve never gotten into Beast Wars, but I agree. They need to explore that as the next line. We got Dinobots and Terrorcons for POTP, why not Beast Wars?

You say that like one won't be a simple repaint of the other...

With them slipping BW characters into Cyberverse I'd say that's the media exposure they're looking for to see if they can turn the BW Update ship around. It's going to depend on how those sell, to be frank.

They've tried doing BW updates several times in the last 10 years. The only ones that didn't peg/shelf warm were the ones that were cursed with bad distribution or were end of the line bots that barely showed up in the first place. All the rest sat in clearance for a very long time.

And G1Prowl shows up on cue to argue once again that BW doesn't sell.

Is there any proof of this? I only ask because:
    1) I’ve heard absolutely nothing about a BW-themed line and
    2) Given that Hasbro did absolutely nothing for BW’s 20th anniversary, I’m not holding my breath they’re going to do anything for its 25th

I don’t think I ever really saw Rattrap and Rhinox shelf warm in my area (but I realize that it could be a different story for other areas also). Everybody raves about those figures. I think the only BW figure to shelfwarm was Optimal Optimus and that’s because he was so terrible looking. And there seems to be some excitement over the MP figures.

I hope the Cyberverse figures sell well. As I said, I’m just ready to move on.

    Not in my area.
He only showed up right before the leaders went on clearance.
    After that, gone.

All we have is a interview from last years SDCC with John Warden. The Question asked was "Anything new on Beast wars" and John Responded "Beast Wars is approaching its 25th anniversary in a couple of years And we recognize that our transformers universe is broad and I'm certainly a huge fan of the beast wars series and with a big event with a anniversary on the horizon Hasbro certainly is going to do something to celebrate this exciting event occasion with fans and it going to be how we do it and what characters we do It's honestly a big reason we come to events like this to talk to fans to ask them what do you like about beast wars what are your favorite characters I personally love it"

Now take it as you will, we don't know what they'll be doing, just that he said they plan on doing something to celebrate it.

    The Interview:

Ok. I hadn't heard about that rumor, but it could be, and hopefully is, another trainformer and not another astrotrain, just yet.

Warden said in last year's SDCC that something big's going to happen for BW fans in 2021. It's in a video too for more proof. That being said it can mean anything. Such as US releases of the MP BW or something small. We'll have to wait and see.

And let's hope the same gentleman is there this year to put the question to John once again to follow up.

As for the vote, Needlenose will be getting my vote.

I’m sorry I missed that announcement so thank you. And I have to say: It’s nice hearing a Hasbro official actually acknowledge that the Transformers universe/brand is broad. It was quite surprising to hear that, tbh.

What do you mean I didn't notice? Me saying that was completely and utterly intentional. I said that to convey a message to you.

    Let me repeat it.

The Studio Series, Masterpiece and Siege lines each have an internal unified scale.

Can I make that clearer for you?

    BW sold.

BW MPs have been selling, from what I can tell. Selling enough that Takara is doubling down and doing them at a much faster rate.

CHUG BW Updates didn't. Well, the ones that made it to retail in any significant numbers didn't.

You know, I had him set as my benchmark of whether I was wrong or right simply because of the fan vote. I don't think he even HIT my area of Indiana. I know I certainly never saw him in the Leader section of any store I shopped at. Either he suffered from end of the line syndrome as far as release goes, or every kid in the US had one bought for them. Is he still available on any of the store sites?
