Let me put it this way, the meaning of the word Slag over here would be the same as if he was running around called Slut  

That said, I've never actually heard the expression used myself and I think it may be falling out of use. I personally have no problem with him being called Slag and I do think renaming him was a bit of Political Correctness gone mad as in the context of Transformers it's obvious that it is referring to waste metal. I think of him as Slag too.

As for Michaelangelo, I would argue a grappling hook could do a lot more damage than Nun-chuks and is one of those cases of the censorship making things worse  
I am happy to say that such days are in the past though and more recent Turtles TV series at least just have them all with their proper weapons and call them Ninjas.

I always thought the implication was he'd turn his enemies into slag. I guess Sludge doesn't work like that, though. Boy, those Dinobot names are kind of a mess . . .

 

I think that IS the thinking behind the name Slag. Sludge is a puzzling one though.

 

Also, he’s the jungle warrior who fights in swamps and such.

Snarl I can see why he's named that.

So I thought I’d have a bit of fun here & throw my hat into the ring of what I think we’ll get this next year or so. Confession time though! I did both upcoming parts of the WfC Trilogy (I couldn’t split them, sorry!) so if it looks pretty long, you know why.

I think this whole trilogy’s been about a few things, ‘fixing’ the toys we got in the Prime Wars Trilogy that had a gimmick they didn’t originally have (ie Combiner Wars Hound & Mirage), finishing teams (ie the new Apeface) and new characters/fan service (like Rung & WfC Barricade) so I feel pretty confident at least 80% of these will come true (we should come back in a few years & see how close we all got!)

I think we’ll have the Headmasters, Targetmasters, Powermasters, Scavengers & Omnibots all done by the end of this trilogy. I don’t think they’ll touch beasts fully till the next Trilogy though, so no Dinobots/Insecticons etc for now.

I’ve skipped all below Deluxes as other than all the main autobot/Decepticon cassettes & Haywire/Recoil it could go any way. I also think (and hope) we get a new scale of toys introduced between Battlemasters & Deluxes (the old Scout size was perfect!) for characters like Huffer, Backstreet, Gears etc. Any way, here’s my list!

If the second chapter is indeed called Armageddon, then we absolutely need to get a new Thunderwing figure.

 

The Commander Class would be perfect for a Generations Star Saber which IF released would be the first EVER Star Saber figure released in my country. I hope that we one day will be blessed with a Star Saber figure, in John Wardens name I pray, Amen.

 

Here is an idea for the 2nd part for the minibot crew. Kinda like the micromaster packs, have mold-brother 2 packs at the legends scale

So they'd be sold at Deluxe price? I'd buy 'em.

 

If we do get a Wheeljack in WFC I hope we finally get a Slicer too.
