How do you figure that Siege Optimus is 30-33’ when his canon Sunbow height is 6 meters tall?

Edit: Here Official sizes and heights - Transformers Wiki

If you look at masterpiece which uses the same scale chart there is no way Optimus is 6 meters or Bumblebee less than 3 meters.

I don’t think those sizes have been used since G1 season 1

The humans they come with aren't in scale to them. They're designed to interact with their vehicle modes, which means mass shifting would come into play.

Agreed they are not but they are in scale with their robot modes which is my point.

I'm lost then. The humans not being in scale with the robot modes does not conflict with what I've been saying either.

Wait, no. I read that wrong. If the robot modes are in G1 scale, the humans necessarily can't be in scale with the robot modes.

Preferences are one thing - they're not wrong no matter what. But we're talking about official measurements. If one applies their own personal interpretation to figures in discussions about objective measurements, that's not a good way to come to a conclusion that's based in reality.

=p you replied before I editted my last post, by the way. Sorry, I do that a lot. Anyway, I pointed out that if the robot modes of the MP figures are indeed in the G1 Sunbow cartoon scale, the humans necessarily can't be in scale with the robot modes because of the official heights of the characters from the cartoon.

Sunbow Optimus Prime is 6 meters tall, that's established in official formats and is undebatable. Therefore, if the MP Optimus Prime represents Sunbow Optimus Prime specifically, then if the human that comes with him isn't the same scale(1:X), then by definition, the human and Prime aren't in scale with each other.

I'm looking forward to the Beast Wars scale battles. They're about 18 months away.

So you make a good point regarding the official sizes, but it requires the removal of a key consistent measuring stick; the masterpiece humans.

    I think a better way to go about this discussion is rather to not use the term “wiggle room” and rather “multiple answers”. So let’s Begins;

    1. If you use the official heights from TF wiki Optimus is 6 meters

    2. If you use vehicle scale Optimus is larger than 6 meters

    3. If you use human masterpiece figures (which have all more or less been in scale with one another since MP-10) Optimus is larger than 6 meters

Remember we are also talking about Siege and Siege can use any of these three size categories, thus resulting in multiple right answers. It’s not so much head canon as different interpretations of the Sunbow robot scale chart.

    Can’t wait either :p

Respectfully, would it be possible to move all scale discussions/arguments to another thread going forward?

Yes I did, because the humans may interact with the MP's alt modes. Logically, they're not supposed to be compared scale-wise to the robot modes. Comparing the humans with the bot modes would be like a 1:2-scaled human figure packaged with MP Soundwave meant for it to be displayed with his cassette mode and saying that the human is scaled for robot mode.

The key thought is that the MP's robot mode isn't necessarily scaled with the MP's alt mode. That goes for even bots like Optimus Prime or any carformer.

That's why that if the humans are mainly meant to interact with the alt mode mainly, then they shouldn't be compared to the robot mode unless specifically stated officially that they should.

    That's why this doesn't work.

Watch the videos in my sig. Warden makes it clear that it's Sunbow robot mode scale.

Again, you can prefer any scale you want. You can even mix & match figures from across multiple scales. But if looking for the objective scale that Siege is based on, the best things to do is to use what the officials give us.

Edit: If this post comes off as angry, it's not meant to. Apologies if that's how it seems.
