I was just using the G1 dinobots as an example for the aesthetic. Think like Cyberverse Cheetor- a cheetah, but not a realistic one.

Maybe they get a multipack like the MM multipack?

That had... 12? So maybe they just do a Selects 6 pack for $35-40 and toss in double the blast effects. 6 purple, 6 yellow.

Not that I trust the Hasbro blast effects not to damage paint and maybe melt plastic.

Another likely Clusterfrick thanks to the Walmart. They can't even keep scalper-bots from killing pre-orders, I have zero faith that this will be anything but a disaster.

You know, siege springer was sorta a bitch to get in siege. It would be nice if he got rereleased in wfc3/ss86/whatever the fuck is going on without the dirt or something to give people another shot at getting him is that unrealistic? I have no clue

Maybe not straight away but I could see him eventually being bundled with a TFTM Mags, Kup, Blurr and ER Arcee in a Platinum Heroes do-over style set.

hmm, you think they would do a box set like that again? I feel like magnus has some low chance of getting a new figure because of his siege toy having the whole rid01 alt mode homage that isn't like how he was in the movie
and if we are getting another 86 movie styled box set I want it to include a bag of microwaveable popcorn because movie

It’s entirely possible since we’ve gotten a triple changer already in the series with Astrotrain. I’m, however, more curious to the possibilities if we’ll even get any Combiners in WFC. If not Earthrise then definitely for Part 3.

I posted in the Beast Wars Speculation thread that these new Beast Wars reveals mean that the chances of Needlenose getting released have taken a nose-dive. The post got deleted for being not Beast Wars! Beast Wars Matter!

But if it turns out that Needlenose doesn't make it when HasTak clearly already has a design ready to go then I worry for the likes of the Triggerbots and -cons. It looks like the Micromasters are gone without finishing any of the teams. Heck, even the likes Pointblank and Sureshot are on the endangered species list at this point. This period we are entering could be a truly dark time for post-86 characters.

There could be Civil War on here if the fan poll was G1 gap vs Prominent BW!

I’m happy for the Beast Wars fans, but as someone who’s been a long term collector of Transformers all the way through the Classics era is there much to get excited about here?

Other than redos of the Dinobots (ok, those are needed!), a better Hot Rod & Rodimus Prime there doesn’t seem to be much to look forward to for those of us who were looking for guys like Pointblank, Sureshot, Needlenose, the Powermasters, Star Saber, Deszaras, Omnibots & the Deluxe Insecticons etc.

The new G1 Jazz (if he's not from the Movieverse) sounds nice, but as someone who has the Japanese Henkei RtS mold I don’t think he’ll be that exciting for some of us (though I totally agree the rest of you guys will likely love him)

Again I am happy for everyone who likes Beast Wars, but I felt Earthrise was looking optimistic with Doubledealer, Snapdragon & Airwave etc.

I was just hoping when Beast Wars was introduced in a larger fashion they’d help anchor the more obscure G1 characters, not just be Cheetor, Optimus Prime, Optimus Primal, G1 Megatron etc.

Kingdom is only supposed to be 50% BW, so there's still a chance for Needlenose. But I'm also worried about the rest of the post-86 characters. Hopefully they have a place in whatever happens after WFC.

People are jumping the gun way too fast here. Just because they're doing Beast Wars characters finally doesn't mean they won't also revisit post-86, G2, or other stuff. They can't make everything at once.

And if they do drop Micromasters for a year, that doesn't necessarily mean gone forever - remember they replaced the "Legend" size class only a year ago. I'm guessing the Core class is effectively bringing those back.

I dunno, the $5.99-to-$15+ "pocket money" price bracket has been something of a constant struggle for the contemporary TF line, Legends class was most likely canned for not performing well enough (plenty of anecdotal evidence for that here in the UK where at one point post-TRU only one high street toy store carried the class, and some of those may have been grey market import, and even one of the leading specialist Etailers stopped carrying them for a time before that due to shelf-warming/poor sales), and with them bringing in a new branding term, rather than outright blasting out "LEGENDS ARE BACK!" I think we might be looking at a new halfway house between Legend & Micromaster size but maybe with at least one weapon? Maybe along the Movie Cyberverse/Cyberverse Commander scale?
Granted it could just be a rebranding of Legend scale but I could see them working to a scaling that kept the Modulator bases kinda forwards compatible.
Virtual SDCC is gonna be interesting!

Nope. I'll believe things when I see them.

For now I keep hope for simply the 1988 / 1989 / 1990 toy catalog characters:
    - Pretenders; Regular, Classics, Monsters, Ultra and Mega
    - Micromaster Bases and more Micromasters
    - Powermasters, Headmasters & Targetmasters Juniors ; more of them
    - Takara still owes Masterforce fans voyager sized Buster & Hydra
    - Actionmasters

If these are going to be supplemented by a few BW releases, fine...but respect the chronological year order. 88/89/90 first BEFORE 90's kids.

Be interesting to see how these threads wind up being organised once 'Kingdom' is officially announced.

So Fosilizers will be the new Modulators/Weaponisers. We can expect to get three in the line. Reading between the lines on that BW Spec thread, I have a sneaking suspicion that Waspinator will wind up being a Fosilizer. So I'll run with that. I'm expecting the other two to be new characters.

Core replaces both the MM and BM price points and this is where all your 'tentople' G1 characters go. We can expect tiny versions of Megatron, Optimus, Bumblebee, and some Seekers, most likely. From what I can tell Rattrap is the only BW character who'll appear at this price point.

So ok, here goes my punt at a (semi-informed) Kingdom Speculation list.

Core: Rattrap, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper, Starscream, Thundercracker, Soundwave.

Deluxe: Waspinator, Scorponok, Airrazor, Cheetor, 2 more Fosilizers, Tracks, Skids, Huffer, Pipes, Needlenose, Sureshot, Pointblank, Crankcase(Skids retool), Roadrage, Gears

Voyager: Optimus Primal, Rhinox, Inferno (G1), Tigatron, Dinobot, Broadside, Octane, Sandstorm

Leader: BW Megatron, Blitzwing, RiD Optimus(seriously doubting this one, but hey ho)

Not going near the Commander and Titan class price points.

Naw, that's gotta be the next TF HasLab Kickstarter! :lol
(I often wonder if the artist who composed that saw "Galvatron with the body of Unicron" direction in the script, picked out the planet mode by mistake, and it was too late in the process to correct?)
Dang, whilst Waspinator sure makes sense as a bot that comes to bits I did get my hopes up that the Fossilizers might be a stealth Inhumanoids Revival.
It'd be neat being able to have a TF figure "possessed" by wrapping 'em in the parts of D'Compose or Tendril!
Fings crossed for G1 Inferno though, I need the matching pair body to ER Grapple!

I'll take a wild swing at Commander class though!
Commander Class LSOTW Whale Tidal Wave!!! :p
