First one was a fun single player game, but the biggest load of console-ported crap I've ever played in pc multiplayer. I'll not buy it.

 

I wonder what the story could be about. The Autobots clean up cybertron further before rolling to Earth? Perhaps the story takes place on Earth the whole time? Part of the uniqueness of the first game was that it was telling a story not really told in any other fiction before. It also allowed for the environments to be proportional to the robots. I wonder what they can do with a sequel, and where it can go.

Either way, I loved the first game and look forward to more!

I think the should would basically be the build up before crashing on Earth  .

 

Well, Optimus Prime and Megatron still haven't actually MET each other on-screen, which was a big letdown with WFC. It was supposed to tell the story of how Optimus and Megatron became enemies, but it did no such thing. The closest they got to interacting was a "Megatron-face shaped chunk of metal" talking smack to Prime while he fought off a few waves of drones.

 

I hope they don't shoe horn it to fit in with TF Prime at Hasbro's insistence, and instead are allowed to continue it as they want. Regardless though, I can't wait for it.  

 

Like I pointed out in the Hasbro Investor thread, being Activision-published, WFC was virtually guaranteed a sequel (given CEO Bobby Kotick's perspective on flogging their properties like a dead horse). Of course, said outlook means diddly-squat unless the people who own the property give it their blessing, which pretty much cements WFC2 as being underway, just unannounced.

Five'll get you ten there'll be a teaser trailer or some such around E3 next year.  

 

Oh please please please be "War for Earth" with some modern car and jet modes and let us rip apart a U.S. city or something.... I wish I wish I wish...  

 

Im happy the game did well enough to warrant a sequel, also this means more WFC toys! hopefully.

 

AWESOME!   Still play the WFC now and then. If 2 is as good as the first or better I will be happy. This is great news, aaaaaaaaaaaand now back to Black Ops...

 

I guess eventually I'll have to start playing my first WFC game on Xbox before that one comes out..

I for one, hope that there is some variety in the environments and enemies. They basically reskinned the same enemies on each side. Both sides have drone cloakers, brutes with sheilds, jets and giant tanks that look and act exactly the same?

Overall though, single player was fun for a while, but if it's just more fighting on Cybertron, I don't know what they could do to keep it interesting.

 

Well I can't say I'm shocked, I will however be shocked if this see's a release on PC.
I for one will not be buying or playing this.
I will not support Highmoon or Activision because of the non-existence support for PC users with WFC.
