http://www.wantedmovie.com After seeing the TV spot last night I am STOKED to see this. For those not familiar, it's based off a comic written by Mark Millar. Great read!
Extremely loosely based is more like it. I dunno I'll probably see it when it comes to dvd, but it just looks terrible to me.
Yeah, from the tv spot it does seem very loosely based. I think they tried to avoid making it rated R so more of the masses can see it. If they went more by the book I think it would have to be at least rated R. Dunno why they made so many changes though just based on the tv spot.
It looks interesting to me I'm definetly interested but I dunno if I will actually go see it in the theatres.
It looks ridiculously entertaining--like "The One." But I'm thinking they completely dropped the 'supervillians won everything' backstory. And I'm okay with that--I loved it when Millar did it, but I can't see it being executed well in a movie, besides the fact that it wouldn't appeal at all to the general public.
I remember hearing about this before somewhere. It does look really entertaining. Id be interested in seeing it.
Uhh... don't think so, at least not until I get a better idea of just how far this thing's been twisted from the comics. The synopsis alone does not inspire much confidence.
Uh, did something happen to the posts in this thread? I replied once but it doesn't seem to have worked. Anyhoo... This looks like it makes League of Extraordinary Gentleman look like Sin City.
Can you actually get a bullet to do that? I don't mean with the human arm, as I'm sure it would take a lot more torque and force than anybody could muster, but is that even remotely possible?
Wanted looks pretty terrible actually and from the synopsis it is nothing like the source material UGH
As a movie, it looks like it has some fun entertainment value. Sort of in a mindless popcorn "Bourne Identity" or "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" way. But as a "Wanted" movie? Uh... It has about as much in common with the source material as if I took Shoot Em Up, kept it 100% the same, and retitled it "Spider-Man 3."
Might be ok, I just wonder if Morgan Freeman have to be in every movie ever made? He's a good actor and all but it's like "Ok we get it, you're so wise and full of insight."
Ok, so who is this Mr.Sloan and why does this movie have nothing to do with the source material besides the fact that Wesley's father had "died"? Come on, they might as well had called it, Shoot'em Up 2. They better include the fact that super villains rule the world and have Shit-Head as a supporting character or else its a rental for me.
