TFW2005 members, I want to buy a couple of complete series (G1, beast wars, animated, and etc.) but there are so many, which ones are considered the best or improved?

    Thanks

Shout Factory G1 and Beast Wars should be fairly easy to obtain as they were released fairly recently.

Rhino G1 has a lot more errors than Shout Factory, but many fans have been selling them in favor of the Shout version.

Animated only had season 1 and 2.

I also noted that you listed the bests of the TF franchise thus far.

Prime doesn't count as there's no complete set for it yet. But you could buy them by the season, though only season 1 has been released, I have a gut feeling season 2 could be released around Christmas or the early in the new yet.

No clue on RiD, ARM, ENER, and CYB DVD sets.

Also, asking "what's the best show"... You're going to get a different answer depending on who you ask. All the shows have their plus and minuses. (Some more than others.) But it really depends on what you're looking for.

Shout makes Beast Wars, G1, and Prime

Paramount made the movies, Animated, energon and Cybertron. The complete sets of Energon and Cybertron have no bonus features but they make up for it in afforability

Rhino did Armada and Beast Machines. I think these two are the hardest to find although I wouldn't start looking for these first unless you can find a good deal on those.

The Shout Dvds for pretty much everything are pretty much your best bet in terms of cost, availability, and coverage.

    Guys and gals,

Is there a difference in quality between DVD's from Walmart, Amazon, or Best Buy?

    Thanks

So long as they're all the Shout! editions, not really, no. Different versions (as in the 2-3 different forms of boxed set) might have slightly different things included in terms of extras, but the actual show should be pretty much the same, I think.

Compared to the Rhino editions, you will see a difference in quality, and I give the edge to Shout!.

I've never noticed anything wrong with the Rhino version. What are the quality differences?
