Just a small review since it's a remold of Airrazor. Filch comes with the wings pieces detached, that fit into 5mm ports on the main wing section. Seemed odd to me, but it works fine and allows for creativity with Weaponizers should you so desire. No weapons included, which was a bit of a bummer. Crow mode is fantastic: Bot mode is excellent. All the joints are nice and sturdy, and the new bird head fits in the chest cavity nicely. A slight remolding addition is that the wings actually peg into the back, unlike Airrazor and Terrorsaur. Overall, I'm rather thrilled to own this one, and a huge thanks to @jametron for hooking me up. Only complaint is that I just don't like the name, so on my shelf she's Eileen. "Hoonta's must hoont.'
Dachande buddy, those wing pieces are the weapons, they turn into swords or something according to the instructions, plug them into her hands feathers pointed out like a hatchet
Admittedly, I didn't look at the directions. I can see that as working, but they don't look like weapons at all which is why I missed that.
Ordered this one right at pre order release, only to have it cancelled by Walmart. Just 3 days ago, I noticed it popped back up, and it arrived today. Odd to say the least. Box art is striking. Out of all modern TFs, this is one i could see keeping in the package, if it had a window. Filtch is a heavy remold/retool of Airraizor, and i gotta say, this one lives up to my hype. The colors are SO damn good. Joints feel great, new parts looks really good to make it different enough, and fit with legacy stuff no prob. Paint work seems minimal, but done really well. Once again, these colors are top notch, and SCREAM "enemy". I find it's a bit of a shame there are no weapons included, just the wings, but you do have some options here. Bottom line, great joints, nothing feels bad, really kick ass figure. On to some pics!
Eager to get ahold of this one. Out of them all, this one looks best suited for hanging with Thundertron and it's funny how a robotic beast head and wings suddenly make the mold look not like a box wearing a bird skin but a whole bird. And that blending in of the organic with the robotic details is really clever, cool, and makes her basically a keystone Star Raider for me because it bridges the gap between inorganic Star Raiders and the numerous BW Star Raiders that I made from repurposes during Kingdom. Really, really, hate that she doesn't have a nose. That really doesn't seem right with the rest of the Star Raiders or Legacy and just looks bad. I'll have to figure out a way to fix it without mutilating a fairly rare toy.
Not bad. The remold changes go a long way toward making this feel different than Airazor, in bird mode at least. The robot mode is okay at best, though the repositionable wingtip parts offer some interesting options. The magpie mode has a lot of personality. I find I like to have it sitting with the wings folded up close to the body. Gives Filch a strong vulture energy, with the harsh-looking beak and hunchy shoulders. Not bad, though I can't help but wonder what could have been if Hasbro had used the ROTB 'mainline' Airazor mold as a base instead.
