Looked over the available space I have left and realized I don't have room for another set of Stunticons, so bravo Walmart, had you released all the leaked deluxes last week you would have had 2 more sales, but now I'm skipping everything except Grimlock.

Lore-wise, I'm sticking with "G2" variants as bots that got a "forestonite" (or whatever the botcon comics called it) upgrade. Grimlock used nucleon without thinking twice, and I bet forestonite has a nice, minty aftertaste

 

The G2 Autobrand is the only thing truly different about them. Hot Rod didn't always have that orange collar. He just did for this sequence.

The orange collar was not "his G2 Fleetway colors." They weren't even his G2 colors! They were an aberration that happened in issue #5, and then a Fleetway poster copied it that one time. They were his G1 colors, the colors he'd always had, always.

Hot Rod is even that same color often in the G1 comics.



That's just how he is. He did not get new G2 colors.

I'm sorry to throw gasoline about this g1/g2 debate tire fire, but if we are being honest Toxi should be considered a rid2001 one character, as the og unreleased toy was retconed to be a destroyed, thrown in the trash and then resurrected verison of scrouge by the destructicon megazarak by Ask Vector prime.

If I had to made a subline based off toxi, it would have been Toxitron's destructicon collecticon.

 

I want RID stuff. Don't convince me to get Toxitron. My girlfriend already said his color scheme is up my alley

 

On today's episode of "this is a Transformers board"

 

That lore was all of a few sentences at most on maybe a single Facebook post. The ask vector prime stuff was mostly a bunch just of wacky lore to give some bioless characters some love and something interesting about them. It's not like this verison of Toxi or even the Shell Game universe/continuity all a whole was even intended to a be Viron (rid2001) universe. He wasn't even released as part of the rid2001 brand filler line that the destructicons were a part of. The Shell Game story it was probably supposed to be set in a fist of the north star type post apocalyptic verison of a g1 universe, but 3h explod. Vector Prime Filled in the gaps of the 2 decades later for fun.
