I'm perfectly OK with Hasbro making Titan Class Double Punch and Titan Class Omega Spreem. I think these could complement the eventual "Sureshot" Optimus Prime too. I wonder if that new rumored G1 Megatron might actually be another crack at a G2 Megatron in terms of design rather than it being a Hand Gun ?

Though I will say this much making an Orange Jazz slightly undermines the likelyhood of SG Jazz and Ricochet getting a toy unless they sneak them into a gift set... and I kinda like the idea of a Buzzworthy Bumblebee Shattered Glass Giftset. as it would lead to some useful and interesting potentials. For example using Laser Optimus Prime to make an alternative SG Optimus Prime, or including that SG Jazz that this is stepping on the toes of a bit they could even resolve the slight issue they caused themsleves with Ratchet and Wheeljack's mould choices too and how licer stepped on the toes of a SG Wheeljack a bit.

There was an Orange toy I did want but it wasn't Jazz it was a Transformers Devastation inspired Decepticon warrior that used either the Runabout or Wheeljack mould. (Runabout and Runamuck "Gamer" 2 pack might be an idea) and the advantage of that is it has lots of army building potential.

I do wonder sometimes when they make odd ball stuff why they do see things like those 2 as viable choices and the same applies the Autotroopers or the blue Generic Autobots in Cyberverse or the Decepticons that match Decepticon Mirage only they are using the Smokscreen Mould (something else I'd really rather like) not to mention there is still a missing generic Impactor Mercinary colour scheme not addressed yet too.

I think generics can drive sales, just look how quickly the Gi Joe Classified Cobra Generics fly off shelves. & we saw that to a degree with Alicons and Sharkticons too.

I didn't notice with the initial pics, but that coloring makes Cloudcover look like he's got two sets of chest vents.

I dig Skyquake, but I'm personally going for a more show-accurate aesthetic with my Prime figures. I'd happily take Toxitron, as much as I already double-dipped on the Laser Prime mold.

 

Optimus has reused some of Rodimus's parts, and some of Inferno's parts, and has reconstructed another Rodimus and renamed him New Rodimus!

No. It was actually a coincidence that the designs were similar, in fact Duke Fire's designer hadn't seen the Rodimus concept either and didn't even know about it. All these were revealed in a discussion with Takara.

Y\'know not that I mind, but why is Toxitron grouped with the G2 unused art design guys? Was he not a planned Universe design from 2003 who later happened as an Animated toy instead?
