Plus, BotCon custom exclusive. Hardly a mainstream, mass retail event.

I made a comment yesterday about how inconvenient it was to potentially have to "babysit" these releases and plan around them. Again, a really lame thing to have to deal with, especially so if you pay Premium to get first crack.

They don't directly benefit from scalpers, but they rely a lot on FOMO in their initial marketing for a lot of products. "Secure yours NOW". And if I don't? I think they certainly capitalize a little on the aftermarket. The strategy is becoming more popular, as we are all slowly becoming hype beasts.

No additional drops on WalMart or Pulse as of 12:09PM CST. This is such Heroic Nonsense! We want G2 Grimlock, Sideswipe, Mirage, and Dead End!!

Have we seen the front of Toxitrons box yet? I know they showed the back of the box. I wonder if the front is the same Laser Prime art that OP and Scourge used? Or do we think it'll be completely new?

I liked when the one user in the comments asked if they were gonna have anymore MOTU dropping today, and Walmart replied yes. Then the user said those were dropped yesterday with Walmart replying oh well that's all it's going to be lol.

Seems like that's what it is for Transformers too. Yesterday was it.

It's not. Looking at the other brands they were supposed to cover, they didn't get theirs either.

I recall these events being touted as "regular and standard" and to "mark my calendar". What day am I marking? Lol.

Oh, I know. I'm of the mind that if I don't like something, I'm going to say something, still. I doubt it matters really, but I think the customer experience is really valuable, and I'm glad to supply my little chunk of market data.

Patently ridiculous lol. As I said before. Walmart noted a date. They noted a time. Some people seem to not be adult enough to understand that sometimes you schedule things to happen.

What happened today no one could know and there was nothing to indicate today would be a dud. You're trying to conflate two different problems as one. One problem is that people can't be bothered to do a simple adult action. The other is Walmart doing marketing BS and no one knew until Walmart duped us.

Oh feel free to share your opinion, wasn't trying to like come at you.

It's just outside of our knowledge. We all supply that data though, I don't really care about that so much. They ain't getting more sales from me if I got my fill of what they selling.

I appreciate your opinion, but I am unclear on why you wouldn't want some consistency and convenience in this situation. The mess here benefits no one, and it is fine to want more from your experience.

Yesterday you were calling me ridiculous too when I said it was inconvenient to have to mark a calendar and be available for a singular hour block for an item. Well...I think it's "patently ridiculous" to do all that, and then NOT get access to the two day event I scheduled for :D

No offense taken, I'm just shouting into the void ;)

Yeah, I think you can put a fork in it. For what it's worth, every other brand appears to have gotten shuffled too, so whatever decision was made isn't just affecting our collectorsphere.

I think "Walmart didn't have much say" is always a losing bet.

*shrug* This thread is the first time I've ever seen anybody say WalMart had any say in what toys went into the thing. Now it's certainly possible Hasbro showed them a bunch of possibilities and had to work with that, fine. Me never seeing it before means little. But it is surprising that despite how active I am in various TF websites and social media it's never come up... some of the shit is just fans making stuff up.

I know WalMart is responsible for how many cases of what class they order. It sucks but it's not Hasbro's fault deluxe cases were ordered so sparingly.

I'm happy to be wrong but if you don't have a single shred of anything that could support this claim, then.
