Speaking only for myself, I don't consider that a G2 deco. Everyone keeps saying so (including Hasbro?), but it simply isn't. Even calling it an homage to such is a stretch, IMHO. Yeah, it's got a musical note on it. So what? It's a character called Jazz.

 

If they want, but pretty sure the toys would be out by then. The rest of the Deluxes ship with Jazz, and I dunno if there's gonna be another Collecticon before July.

I don't... are you intentionally being obtuse? The same character, with a color scheme of light blue pastels on white, with a musical note with the same number in it. The layout and colors aren't identical but you may as well say that Classics Ramjet isn't a G1 Ramjet reference because the color scheme isn't an identical layout.

 

Hasbro owns Transformers so any toy they label as G2, Prime, animated, or (insert any universe) is that thing. On your shelf or your own head Canon the toy is whatever you want it to be.

 

I wonder if the Botcon custom panel thing counts as an unreleased G2 Ratchet.



These are in that semi-official category as Hasbro had to approve the decals but you had to paint it yourself.

I'd love to see SS86 Ratchet in a variation on this. Love those pink windshields.

 

I was honestly asking if Hasbro had actually called that a G2 deco. I'm not sure on that point. I don't remember any specific call-outs on the packaging to suggest such.

I know the TF Wiki says it's in the "festive spirit of... Generation 2," but even that strikes me as simply the copy-editor's opinion.

I'm not being deliberately obtuse (and I'll thank you to can it with the insults). Your analogy is flawed, and doesn't deserve any deeper response than this.

 

RobotKingdom has the case assortment up for the deluxes, they're saying its 2x jazz, 2x of two "unknown" and 1x of two other "unknown" figures. So it will be:

2x - Jazz
2x - Other A
2x - Other B
1x - Other C
1x - Other D

We know Shadowstrip, Mirage, another g2 stunticon are coming, so I would guess Shadowstrip is a 1x and the other 1x is another "reissue" from velocitron. we'll see.

 

If there was any doubt it was G2 inspired, it did release with an Optimus Prime based on a G2 deco.

 

That's certainly true, but there's also the Motormasterbreath and Thundercracker toys that came out with it, which weren't.

 

Unfortunetly we already know the case characters.

G2 Jazz, Shadowstrip, G2 Dead End, G2 Mirage, and G2 Sideswipe.


This means ANOTHER character will be short packed yet a-fucking-gain, which means we will be watching the Cosmos situation unfold… again.


So, who wants to be Dead End and Shadowstrip are short packed this time? Can you imagine the absolute fucking chaos that will cause? $100 for G2 Dead End on ebay..

 

I hope you didn't take my response as an attack. You might be might that it is only the TFwiki that calls that Jazz G2. But Toxitron is now G2. If they made G1 Skyquake G2 that is Hasbros call. We can make our toys whatever we want them to be. So Toxitron can be a universe display, G2 or car robots. Let's make the hobby fun again. (I will voice complaints every now and then too) so don't think I'm acting better than others

 

There is nothing on the box that specifically calls it a G2 Jazz. It's just the Ultimate Gift Set and it's labeled as "Autobot Jazz"

 

I hope Sideswipe and Dead End are the other 2 2x, because those are the 2 I need the most, and I don't care about anyone else's needs

 

My bet is the 2 Stunticons will be short packed as well...

 

If I had to guess I'd say there is no way the 2nd stunticon will be short packed while offering more of the 1st. My gut says...
