I was wondering if anyone knows if the version at Walmart that's supposed to have the extra Imax footage will also be the 2 disc special edition. I passed on the Walmart version of the first movie cuz if I wanted the motion comic and the extras disc, I had to buy 2 versions of the movie to have it all and I said 'phooey' to that. In other words I hope they arent' gonna make me choose between buying a 1 disc version that has the extra couple of minutes or the 2 disc version with all the bonus materials but without the extra footage.
2-disc Okay i hope i help the walmart exclusive Blu-ray is the 2-disc big screen edition is what it says at the top. So it is a 2 disc set but the question is, is it the same as the 2-disc special edition but with imax or not? Lets hope and on top of that it should be selling for around $20.00, as for the Dvd, i believe they have the imax in the single disc, and 2 disc editions, since you didnt specify which version you were wondering about (DVD, or Blu-Ray) i posted both the single disc is supposed to be $15.00, and 2-disc imax footage edition is either $20.00, or $25.00 Hope this information is of some help to you
I've been wondering this myself. I have the Suncoast pre-order in for the metal case, but that version doesn't have the iMax stuff. I'll get the WalMart BluRay for the iMax, but I didn't know if it'd only be on the 2-disc set or not. Decisions decisions.
This whole thing with making so many different versions of the movie on DVD/Blu-ray is such bull. I'm gonna have to wait a few days now to make sure nothing slips under the radar and that I get the best version.
The Wal-Mart exclusive blu-ray will also have the expanding IMAX aspect ratio for the two IMAX scenes (ala the Dark Knight), which the regular blu-ray doesn't seem to have. If that's important to you, then the Wal-Mart one is the one to get. It's a shame because I hate walking into Wal-Mart, much less giving them my money. Still trying to decide if I care enough.
