I'm not thinking of 1:1 matches but more generally evil classic Autobots.

In terms of 86, we have a Hot Rod and possibly an Ultra Magnus. Flamewar feels likely from Arcee to me. I don't know if there's a good Kup or Blurr candidate but I could probably flank Rodimus Unicronus, a Nemesis Magnus, and Flamewar with sweeps.

Instead of thinking in terms of literal "X gone evil" or whatever, I'm thinking more broadly in terms of one evil or amoral take on each mold.

Jetfire would be cool, but a premium version of such a figure seems unlikely to me. I could see Astrotrain happening, either in a WfC wave 2, or in the Netflix version of Earthrise next year, since it was released in both lines.

As for SW, I like the bot mode, but I'll agree the "vehicle" mode is lacking. Still... considering both wave1 vojager came with two minicons/targetmasters as extras, 'wave would be a very logical choice because of his cassette-minions, if they want to keep that trend going.

As for BB, I'm all but certain we're gonna get him and Wheeljack in Earthrise. The only thing I hope is that they keep the weathering style consistent between all 3 series at least in the Netflix re-releases. Would be very annoying if, say, the WFC ones have the cool weathering, and the Earthrise ones have something like G1-style cell-shading, or something...

 

Decepticon Mirage is the next out of stock figure of the line.

So far, our best educated guess has being right.

 

Would they consider doing a voyager Shockwave without all the extra bits?

I think a "clean" Soundwave and Buzzsaw could be a hit.

 

Doubt it... his alt mode without the extra bits isn't much of anything... it's not a laser gun, it's not a very good ship.

 

Molding Shockwave would probably involve molding all of the extra bits too so I’d guess not. Not to mention that he’s blatantly a gun at that point.

 

I doubt we're going to get 2 leaders redone in this style, especially with Magnus being propped up as the "super-special boxet figure". The most likely scenario to me remains Prime and Soundwave as extra vojagers, and a few other deluxes that are not likely to get a second model in Earthrise, like Impactor and Barricade.

I would definately love to be wrong an get a Shockwave, tho.

 

Given his aftermarket price, and that he was a wave 2 figure I could see them doing Ironhide. Going to be a little annoying if someone doesn't do Sunstorm to complete my seeker color wheel.

I believe they are saying, Ultra Magnus is not leaked at all, like they have all data under lock and key, with all the leaks out there, it seems odd that no one leaked him yet with around 2 weeks until release,

 

I’d rather have the cobalt sentries than Stripes and Sundor if anything. I also think that he’d come with only one pair of MMs.
