this is still a better option than trying to physically hunt these down in stores during a pandemic, and i don't mind waiting, so i was happy to be able to place an order for the figures that i want! =)

 

It’d be nice if there was full confirmation of them fulfilling the February preorders before putting these new ones up.

EDIT: Did a live chat and the rep told me they were "confident it [Hotlink] will ship by the end of today". I'm just not entirely inclined to believe that, ya know?

 

Currently getting the runaround from a live rep myself, they assured me the remaining figures would ship on or by July 17th, and that I would receive a delay notification sometime in the next 48 hours informing me of this, so make of that what you will.

 

The original pre-orders were supposed to ship on April 7th. It's almost 3 months later. The skepticism is perfectly understandable.

 

To be fair, just about every preorder I've ever done with Walmart has been a frustrating fiasco, but this is taking it to some extremes, and the problem is entirely Walmart itself, not a manufacturer or courier, just Walmart. I know it seems a silly thing to be frustrated over with everything going on these days, but 3 months of continuous inventory mismanagement is pretty extreme for such a major retailer, right?

 

Just keep your current order and also order a new one. You can cancel one if the other ships. If they happen to both ship on the same day and you don't catch it, just return it in store.

 

I will pre-order Netflix Siege again but no doubt pre-orders on Walmart are a nightmare, and looks like "everything" is a Walmart exclusive nowadays, not just Transformers but Ghostbusters Classics, McDC Dark Knight Metal Batmen, MOTUO....damn even the new Atari!  

 

There are alternatives, but that would require paying import pricing and going way above US Walmart pricing. Although some resellers (especially on eBay) do just buy from Walmart and charge higher, others (especially those with store sites), get their stock from Canada or Asia.

When TFSource is charging $130 for Ultra Magnus, they're not trying to "gouge" you. You're paying for import version (leaders are very expensive in Asia) and they still need to make a profit on it. i am no way saying it's OK to pay $130 for that mess of a set, of course.

Did people actually pay $90 for Hotlink? Yep. TFSource is sold out of Hotlink. Toyarena sold off their stock for the same price and had UM as well for $120 (sold out there too).

 

It has nothing to do with what's currently going on. The store websites have always been fucked up. They just don't care.

 

So it seems like if Walmart.com ever does fulfill my Hotlink preorder, I won't have any problem selling it!

 

Weird, it won’t let me do Ship to store or to a FedEx location? Only allowing home shipping. Don’t need Scrapface that bad....

 

Oh I'm aware of that, much as their reps keep trying to use that as an excuse. In fact, I feel like a ton of businesses are trying to use the various events to excuse their poor performance that existed well before things started going downhill.

I picked up Hotlink yesterday from my local Walmart and only 2 on the shelf. I'm pretty happy i got him cause mainly i love the color and the figure anyway.
