BINGO! You got it. This was last year and there were less bickering since most of us were all on the same page as a result. While this year more than 30% of these characters being release via ER and exclusives are the same characters.

See now HasTak are double dipping with these characters. So I can bet half my collection that HasTak won't have the same amount of success as they did with Flywheels, Redwing, Sixgun etc. But to those who love it have fun with Megatron #5 in less than 2 years...

Except people are not buying repaints over new molds. They are buying both. They look at the line and see sales. That's it. Strong sales will result in more support. Poor sales will get less support. If the repaints are being supported when they are well done, and I generally think the Netflix ones are, they will put more effort into the repaints instead of the frequently lazy efforts in the UT years. If we continue to support original molds and extensive remolds, then they will continue to put resources into those as well.

Its a good take I respect it...I'll probably get the ones that looks the weirdest since well most of Siege pretty much was here...but not everywhere. So I see Scrapface (who I really want) that'd be fine for me...Heck if not Hotlink too.

"Some People". Not all. Not everyone who loved SIEGE figures from last year are rushing out to grab these.

By your logic those Exclusive repaints of OP and Megs wouldn't still be shelf warming at some Walmart's from last year.

Now Bluestreak and Soundblaster did disappear though.

and I don't think these are for the folks that ran out and got them last year, they're for folks who see the Netflix show next month (and hopefully there will be some cross-promotional advertising)and then are in Walmart and see the characters they just saw in the show, in a box that calls it out, instead of a line of (to the layperson) unrelated characters and designs.

(or folks like me that were so put off by the crappy battle damage and poor plastic color they skipped most of these, but are REALLY impressed by the new versions, like that awesome Megatron)

Obviously 7billion people are not running out to buy Transformer repaints. Figure sales are also always dependent on locations. Some figures are shelf warmers in one place, long sold out in others. The point is the sales will drive what HasTak does. They won't abandon new molds if the sales are strong.

Ha! the way I see it you don't have to sell a lung to get this version.

    Probably Cyberverse, or ER

Hmm considering it seems to play a heavy role in wfc it seems safe to assume he will play a similar role he did in Cyberverse as the guardian of the Allspark.

It’s grouped up with Barricade, Deepcover, And the Quintesson. It’s a really high chance what ever it is, is apart of the Netflix line.

Well I do however like your optimism that this new TF Netflix show will even be a success. Due to Hasbro's recent TF track records (RID, Machinima, Cyber-verse) I still have my doubts...

If he's grouped together with them does that mean they make up a wave together? 8 deluxes seems way too much for one wave so I'm guessing they will be split up with 4 being wave 2 and the other half being wave 3.

Yes, Most likely we’re looking at 2 separate waves of product here. These new listings being wave 2 and 3.

As to if they’re in the same wave together, there’s a chance they’re not.
So we will have to wait and see which is which until they’re revealed.

Detritus definitely feels like a possibility somewhere.

You may have seen my speculation that the listings for a TF vs Joe boxed set were Hound as a VAMP vs Skywarp as a Nightraven.

What I'd almost forgotten was that I initially started speculating that because Detritus's artwork in the WFC card game looked like a VAMP hood retool!

I lean towards him being in a boxed set opposite Ironhide and Prowl. I forget what the second Amazon Earthrise set is called. Elite Hunters, I think?

I think I lean towards that being Detritus redecoed from a convention Hound retool and a blue Grapple as Decepticon Mudflap based on the side switching blue crane truck from Cybertron. Maybe with a Battlemaster at $60.
