Found the Walmart Exclusive Transformers Dark of the Moon Legends Class 3-Pack at the Walmart in Parkesburg, PA. The set features a golden Bumblebee, a blue Soundwave, and a bonus orange Rodimus figure.

I remember hearing about this set, but couldn't find anywhere that this had been found.

It was $9.97 when I purchased it along with some Wave 2 Deluxes. There are four sets to a box.

Sigh. Am I really gonna buy that just for the Rodimus? I'll almost certainly manage to get a Cyberverse BB somehow anyway.

That Rodimus....I might pass up the moon Optimus 2 pack for this.... Does anyone have any picture of the figures out of the box?

 

That is a nice looking Rodimus.

 

Unfortunately, that's not even the "real" Cyberverse Bumblebee, but the retooled ROTF Legends Bumblebee they're using in this line (with hands so he can hold weapons).

The ROTF Legends and DOTM Legion Bumblebee molds are different (I'm surprised they went to all the trouble).

EDIT: Wait, Squall's pic seems to show Bumblebee as just redeco of the ROTF, not a retool like Bolt Bumblebee and Bumblebee Vs Megatron (the one that comes with a gun). What the heck?

 

A set i will definitely pick up.

 

considering BB is launching with 4 cyberverse toys on release day and a repaint in the next wave it makes sense

Opened it this morning...here's a quick peak at the Rodimus:

I love how Rodimus is the tack on 'Bonus' when he's the only one I want. No need for the other two.

 

That Rodimus looks m-ugly! Faded orange with a line art drawing of his flame?  

 

I really dig Rodimus' deco with the searing yellow fading to orange in alternate mode. I'd like to see a larger toy with this kind of deco regardless of what they call it. I truly don't think it needed the black outline of flames in this case...I think the fade was enough. But I think they were trying to reproduce the effect used for movie Optimus Prime's flames...albeit a different color, and on a cheaper scale.

The Bumblebee and Soundwave are pretty nice too. Bumblebee is a golden metallic base with silver metallic paint applications, and the Soundwave is based on his Gathering at the Nemesis paint scheme which was a Toys R' Us Exclusive back in the days of Revenge of the Fallen.

 

Agreed. Hasbro's got to find a way to clear out all of the unwanted Legends 'Bees and Soundwaves in their warehouses.
