Damn! My area Walmarts have not been that well stocked on ANYTHING since, oh, before Thanksgiving.

 

I’d like them to continue this line with the next wave being Repugnus, Grotusque and Doublecross.

They should just reissue the entirety of TR with the Takara touchups imo. Especially if they add in the Takara targetmasters. (I still say Hasbro should just put all of those guys in a box set with some random other repaints)

 

Most of TR is still pretty easy to find? I understand why some people would like it but I think after headmasters & the beast wars things Walmart should re issue some siege & Er exclusives like skywarp & ratchet

 

Oops, I forgot to add the bit of info of "with Takara touch ups" my bad. I'd love to get an Overlord with both heads at some point but I slept too long on it. (I remember seeing listings on ebay for $30 but my recent check I saw $80) Then there's the Windblade deco and of course the jumpstarters and Misfire (or was it Slugslinger? I forget) for those thay couldn't grab them due to distribution errors.

 

That would be a great thing. Especially if they can sort out some qc issues with some figures that had them. Like the 2 alligators

Speaking of cockpits, is Skullcruncher's cockpit canopy still softer rubberized plastic? And how are his thigh swivels? The thigh mushroom joint was notorious for being super loose on the original TR versions

 

The cockpit is still a soft plastic, but it's now translucent with some white paint instead of solid green.

And the thigh swivels are much tighter this go-around.

Unfortunately, it sounds like Hasbro isn't planning on doing reissues like this for any of the TR guys that weren't classically Headmasters.

On the fence about picking this wave up from a UK retailer to take a punt on Weirdwolf not having a self-destructing canopy this time, and Skullcruncher having a solid cockpit would've pushed me to a more definite purchase. I'll keep on thinking about it for now! Good to know he doesn't have helicopter blade spin action thigh swivels now though.

 

Yo Cheggy, just wanted you to know we all appreciate your posts on all the features of these new HM. Keep it up. We are living vicariously through you. Walmart’s sad distribution prevents most of us from having the chance at the real thing.

 

No problem! Yeah, I hate not knowing how Weirdwolf's cockpit is gonna turn out. I decided I'm not taking the chance so I'm trying to remove it, but the pin at the top is giving me a tough time.
