Seems to be only traditional Headmasters being made but I’d love most of those other characters as well. Especially a accurately colored Metalhawk, that would be amazing. Make him actually yellow and not gold.

I don't know that these are being scalper bait as much or in my hunting days Transformers in general. Back when TRU was open and I was hunting, it was generally a collector beating other collectors to the punch. Worked out well for me on Walmart and TRU as I got out of the gym right when Walmart would be stocking at night, and on my way to the gym I would stop in at TRU the night before the truck arrived with the stock number of an item I wanted to see if it was on the manifest. If it was, next morning, I would be there at open and often see other collectors. But I grew tired of the hunt.

I will say I have seen an uptick in it lately (probably due to people being bored/needing money with everything shut down). Seen a whole slew of Ross finds being sold (at hardly a markup that makes much sense to me after shipping). I would probably jump on a reasonable MPM Megatron as I don't like going to stores over and over during this, and hate logging the hours and miles searching. That being said, I do know a couple local shops buy out exclusives in my area.

On topic, I had interest in these only for the retro boxes, but the wait has taken my horny away. I don't think I need them any longer, have the originals and the takara versions of them all.

 

Yeah man I'm starting to think my RED wave 1 figs are not coming. I'm gonna call this week & find out wtf is going on they were changed dates like 6 times & November 1st is here. Frickin Walmart best to wait til in stock I guess ugh

Sure, I guess... Walmart just sees a fast sellout, which tells them Transformers are popular, which tells them to order more, so yeah, it's good for us in the end.

 

I love how the bottom half of Hardhead's gun is missing for most of the photos and Hasbro was just like, "yeah let's go with those pics anyways". ^_^

 

At the state we're currently in, expect any new Transformers toy even remotely rooted in G1 to sell out the instant it's put up for preorder.

 

Well, been meaning to snag the Legends Chromedome and Hardhead for years. Never really got around to em. While part of me wants the titanmaster vehicle repaints, I\'ll still take the main figure for less than 2nd hand prices!
Now I wanna see if they\'ll do Weirdwolf too!

 

I was expecting to skip all of these but if we are for sure getting Weirdwolf and Skullcruncher then I’ll probably pick up them along with Mindwipe.

My TR Weirdwolf has the standard cockpit hinge break so it’ll be nice to replace him and hopefully with the Takara head too?

 

I'd rather have full repaints and new characters in these molds. I think a Headmaster RATBAT could be fun!

G1 packaging is a novelty to see in stores but I rarely keep stuff MIB.

would love to see G1-esque Arcee and Nautica boxes as they looked pretty good as toys but I could see just doing simple psuedo-retro Jumpstarters and not play up the headmaster angle too
