I for one will definitely pick these up. Only had a few originals growing up and loved them. Not had any since so these are new to me and look awesome. Probably a newbie collector comment but these look great and I can\'t wait.

It's funny how I always assumed we had to pay import from the UK and only recently discovered we don't. All those cool toys and sales I might have missed out on!

Well some people might say that the TR Chromedome had the "wrong" head and that the Japanese head is the one they wanted.

The thing is, I’m almost 40 and I used to read ATT frequently back in the late 90s. I’d just forgotten about that whole trope.

Hmm. You do have a point. I suppose this question is one I would have anticipated from the likes of Twitter, haha.

I had the original G1 Hardhead toy. Was so cool at the time how they got the "stats" to appear when inserting the head. Friends and I traded heads sometimes to change the stats.
I made a video of me repairing him up, and a few others, but have to post more before I can put up the links.

I don't know if Thrilling 30 Brainstorm was 100% IDW accurate but IDW was certainly the biggest influence in the design.

I definitely fit into this category. I have no interest in IDW and I prefer the Headmasters anime over Rebirth. So Headmasters anime heads win out over IDW heads for me.

Obviously. That number could be really low though. Could be 500 people for all we know (hypothetical number). I’m surprised it’s enough people to warrant a re-release only a few years later.

The opposite can also be true, and having more product on store shelves isn't a bad thing. Hell the fact that stores keep getting exclusives shows that the franchise is actually in a pretty strong place right now. Walmart may not have a focus on toys, but them having so many exclusives shows that they know it's a draw for some customers to shop there

I wish more of the cartoons like headmasters or g2 were available in the USA. I know beastwars has gotten good reviews, but I just never got into it. Seemed dumb. I grew up with G1 and am,a little sad how far recent series like War/Siege, cyberverse, and Prime have deviated from the original lore and canon and story.

Where can you watch g2 or headmasters?

I don't care if it's Wal-Mart or target, as long as there's somewhere to buy 10-30$ transformers for my son & daughter. They've been asking for some $10 ones for rewards when they finish their sticker charts for good behavior.

G2 was just G1 reruns. As for Headmasters, Shout Factory put out a subbed DVD set a few years ago, it's still up on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Transformers...refix=transformers+headmasters,aps,165&sr=8-1

    It's not a regular re-release though it's a release of the Takara Tomy decos/versions

The whole re-releasing of non-G1 Transformers in G1 style boxes is kind of intriguing. After the WFC trilogy and SS86 lines have ended, I wonder if Hasbro would consider re-releasing some of those figures in G1 boxes.
