I did not think I'd see the day when HASBRO does show accurate reissue of G1 (but then again after the BW Reissues shoulda seen it coming.) It's actually impressive that this one is even more accurate than the collection one. I'd get it even if it weren't (even though I have the collection and Walmart ones) but the fact that it is is great. I think I'm in for most of the others as well but they've been shown and talked about.
I'm hoping these reissues aren't a one off; Magnus has always stood out to me as one who should have gotten that treatment. Skywarp's another (although it'd be a pseudo mexican skywarp if they did). It'd also be awesome if Hasbro actually released a full Optimus with an axe and I could see them doing a blue eyes grey Roller with the axe. Loving the possibility for more

 

These look cool. I'll be getting Shadowstrip, Galaxy Shuttle, and Velocitron Hot Rod.

 

I still can't get over how good Hot Rod looks in that pinkish magenta. I'm not sure why the CHUG version doesn't have that deco. It's basically begging for it. I can't even believe they talked Walmart into selling it in Velocitron with basically the same deco as the SS86 version with a few toy-centric apps. I'm astounded that Walmart would say "OKAY!" when this deco is RIGHT HERE. WTF? Ah, well. (And another G1 reissue? Really? I bought mine on clearance for like...$7.00. lololol)

Goes to show you that deco *can* make a difference. Both Starscream and Hot Rod look great in just paint deco without stickers.

-_- wtf is wrong with this fandom? Toys are never, ever more important than people. I think, soon, will be the point where I'm getting ready to call it quits. Prices have gone up, G1's almost done and what isn't is a rehash of what's already come, and the people are ruining it for me. They are flat-out ruining the joy of this for me because they choose to be awful over a toy or a cartoon or a movie and I'm sick of it. I'm sick of all of it.

 

Hot Rod (G1 re-issue) in the Magenta color looks fantastic! Really shows how badly we need MP's and an SS86 in Magenta.

Did Crasher and Shadowstrip go up on Walmart and sell out already or have they not gone live yet?

 

All that, plus finding new toys in physical locations is difficult, while exclusives drop online and sell out in the blink of an eye. It's crazy stressful just trying to buy the product. I'll be glad when g1 is done for this and everything else you mentioned.

There seem to be quite a few releases these days that make you double-take so hard, you're in danger of getting whiplash.

First Galaxy Shuttle, now bona fide TFTM deco G1 Roddy and Screamer.

Now if Hasbro redeco G1 Megs in the same way (yeah yeah, I know, but fun to wish for it regardless)...

In fact, stuff it - do the whole lot, Hasbro!  

 

Took me less than an hour to change my mind. Fuck it, I'm almost certain I no longer have the last reissue, might as well get the mold again in the far superior colors

 

So they're finally doing G1 reissues again but they're figures they already did recently and they're using new color decos which defeats the purpose of them being G1 reissues. I keep hoping they'll start back up with more figures (especially carbots) but no luck.

 

since Crasher and Shadowstrip and also Toy color SS86 Hot Rod didnt go up on hasbro pulse ... it seems they might not go up on walmart today either...

 

hard disagree, gives people a chance to get them in toon deco. which looks good on hot rod especially

I've posted this before, but Evan Brooks (the not-Mark designer on most of the Pulse streams) mentioned a while back that he fought for SS86 to be closer to the movie's magenta instead of the more light-red we wound up getting: https://www.instagram.com/p/CcT189ZOAKc/

The existence of Pink Hot Rod makes this even MORE confusing, since clearly they were okay with ONE of his molds getting the movie-accurate colors but not the big, mainline one that was being sold everywhere. Maybe he talked them into it down the road, maybe this was just an easy way to get Walmart to double-dip on a mold that was exclusive to them last time, who knows. I'm not complaining by any means since Pink Hot Rod is something I've always wanted, but it's funny how it all worked out.

 

So, my thoughts:

Shadowstrip: looks nice, but I don’t really have an attachment to the G2 Stunticons.

Crasher: definitely want to pick her up, but I’d prefer a unique headsculpt instead of what we got.

Toy Hot Rod: looks nice, again, but I already have both the G1 Reissue and the Studio Series Version already and don’t need another.

Galaxy Shuttle: Oooooooh! Japan Exclusive character! Gimme gimme gimme!

Toon Starscream: love it but don’t need it. Wish they finally made a crown for the G1 mold though…

Toon Hot Rod: ditto. A matrix acessory would’ve been nice too.

 

PSA: if you get so upset about a toy to the point you are wishing death upon the designers, or anyone, then you need serious psychological help. And probably shouldn’t have access to the internet.
