Plot Summary For Wally Pfister's TRANSCENDENCE Leaks

"Three scientists -- Max and the husband and wife team, Will and Evelyn -- have been developing a programming code for the world’s first fully self-aware computer. A group of anti-technology terrorists assassinate Will, Evelyn uploads his brain into a prototype supercomputer. Although she at first finds the experiment seems to have gone wrong, before too long Evelyn finds Will responding in computer form. She goes on to connect Will to the Internet so he can help make further scientific breakthroughs. Will asks Evelyn to connect a microphone and a camera up to the computer so he can see and speak to her as well. Will creates a backup of himself to every computer in the world, and furthers his work through accessing online indexes. When the anti-technology organization finds out, they try to steal the supercomputer and destroy it, but Will no longer needs the computer to survive..."

Sounds like an interesting story for Pfister to debut with.

The ironic thing is that he is playing a guy in a computer, and he is still acting more like a human than his last few roles.

Pfister's on record as not being a fan of Bay's films.

That is slightly strange because Christopher Nolan has said before that he enjoys Michael Bay's movies.

Wasn't Pfister in the Batman Begins game? Or at least someone with his name?

Well, they are two completely different people, so it's not too shocking they might (and do) have differing opinions.

    1. Saying that in defense of Bay of all people - one of THE single most notoriously arrogant people in Hollywood - is hilariously ironic.

    2. He didn't even actually say anything bad about Bay. He just doesn't like his movies or necessarily understand why Nolan does. That's a guy sharing an opinion; not displaying arrogance.
