My local Wal-Mart toy manager has said that the 5pm Friday release of ROTF toys has been moved up to midnight tonight! Go get 'em boys!

Edit: I went down to the store to pick up some milk, and was surprised to find ROTF toys already stocked, covered with black plastic from top to bottom, and with this sign hanging on the plastic. This is real! It happens tonight.

we heard NOTHING about this today at work.....

 

But will it only be the Deluxe ROTF Bumblebee and Soundwave and Leader Optimus Prime and Megatron?

 

Perhaps the word came down after your shift? Or perhaps my local store is doing something incorrectly? All I know is that they told me tonight, at midnight, to come get them.

 

A) Interesting, but I doubt that my local Wal-Marts will be doing this and even if they are, I can wait 'til tomorrow.

I just called a few, they denied this. though, most the people I talk to on the phone don't seem to even know what a Transformer is...

I live in Oklahoma City, and I called and talked to an ASST Manager who said this is true.

At first he denied it, but happened upon his EVENTS CALENDER (take note Walmart employees,) and said it is true.

The toys are to be sold TONIGHT at 12:01 AM

This guy is not lying, and I can confirm it.

 

Hopefully the scalpers don't get word of this....

 

Yeah, I am hoping on this as well.

Dumbasses... We have one being a punk and hiding out around my area. Such cowards...

Oh well, when I go get my haul tonight, which I am showing up early for, I will be watching to see if any scalping nerds try and buy more then one, and then I am going to have fun punching his face into the tile if he comes between me buying these things for my son.

Either that or I will accidentally cause him to fall, then I will pick up his haul and call it fair game. He put them down.  

 

Eh, I can wait till tomorrow. My Walmart is only open till 10pm.

 

i talked to someone in the toys depo at my walmart, and they are still saying 5pm for tommorrow

 

I called and they told me to call back between 8-4. Thanks for the help walmart.

 

I'll just go tomorrow.

 

It's true, I saw the email that came down saying that the release is for midnight local time. All stores are supposed to do this, but things happen. Some might not check afternoon emails, some might not have product yet. The company has almost 4000 stores U.S., trying to track all of them for this is challenging to say the least. If your store does not have them out, just kindly ask if they have any stock in the back. If they have it and it's ok to sell, trust me, they'll sell it.
