What if this happens? Because there are a lot of suggestive jokes already (the "suck my popsicle thing") and the torture scene could be a little graphic. Someone in another thread said that the twins go as far as saying mother f***er in the Shanghai scene. I doubt that will really happen, but this is making me think a possible 'R' rating. It was shown (the trailer) during Friday the 13th which was rated R. I don't know. It would be a tough sell to get my parents to take me to an R rated movie that they know nothing about.

EDIT: Oh and I just remembered... where the UK people could win two tickets to the UK premier of the movie, the thing said "Due to the nature of this film, the attendants must be 18 or older" what does THAT tell you about it huh?

    Um.

A movie based on a children's toy line, also made to sell more toys, probably isn't going to be rated "R" anytime soon. PG-13 has become the new catchall rating, so there's a lot they can get away with under a PG-13 rating. I wouldn't worry, you're golden.

There's almost no way that that would end up happening. If it was rated R, I'm sure thye would just do a quick hack and slash job to get it down to a pg 13 rating. If anything, they would later release an unrated uncut version when the dvd came out

Yeah, I'm thinking the twins saying "motherfucker" is a bunch of BS. They're supposed to be the comic relief and the kid friendly characters; somebody probably misheard what they actually said.

Even if the Twins do say motherfucker (Which I can see happening if their rumored personalities are true) you can still get away with 2 fucks in a PG-13 movie. Anything after that and the MPAA has a hernia.

While stupid, you can get away with dropping one f-bomb in a PG-13 movie before they start considering bumping it up to R. But I think the only bombs being dropped in this movie will be from Starscream doing a fly-by.

No way I mean we got Skids and Mudflap, children's books, toys well Wacthmen had toys but still! I don't think the twins will drop the F bomb but as said they can get away with that in a PG-13 movie.

If the Twins would say it, it'd be in Cybertronian. And it won't be subtitled on the screen.

Bay has some big balls when it comes to his movies and their content, but even he wouldn't cross that line, knowing this is for kids ages and up.

I doubt we'll ever see an extended cut on DVD/BD either. We've yet to see one for the original film, and as far as we know, other than the IMAX scenes being filmed to fit the IMAX screen, there's nothing different between the two versions of this new film. Only visual differences.

As much as an R-rated TF movie is an interesting idea -- in a somewhat depressing way -- it will never happen. Terminator movies get PG-13 ratings and they are far more violent.

Uh...Salvation is the first Terminator film to receive a PG-13, the rest were all R.

You can say shit in a PG film. I doubt they care if it's in a PG-13'er.

The American President used fuck three times in 15 minutes and retained it's PG-13.

Yesman, also had three, I believe, and it's PG-13.

The Man with Sam Jackson and Eugene Levy had plenty more, but they covered it up pretty good, but it was still there.
