Lol I wish I had that problem I would have had to have sold a kidney to afford that.
I decided my tall shelves were getting too crowded and my short shelves were way too empty so I've spent the last couple days reorganizing them.
In most cases there is no theme on the shelf, I just out figures where I felt they looked best. But there are a few exceptions. The very first shelf is kinda like an IDW shelf for Autobots. Not every figure is perfect representation of their IDW version and there are a couple that aren't really featured in the IDW Universe, but I did the best with what I could.
Of course I have to put Starscream with his Seekers and his greatest creations.
Below that is my MTMTE Decepticon featuring Shockwave shelf. I'm short a few Scavengers though.
So I know I said when my collection got moved to this current room it would be staying here until I sold the house, but that's no longer true, lol. The original room my collection was in (which is bigger) just got a fresh coat of paint on the walls and is getting brand new carpet this weekend. After it's done, I've decided I will be moving my collection back in there while keeping my PC in the smaller room. I figured since I won't be selling until summer, I might as well have my collection displayed in a room big enough for it until then.
Is it me, or is that shelf bowing
Lol it very well could be. It's just a cheap walmart shelf. If it's not, then it's an illusion from the lights.
I just went and checked and it's definitely just an illusion.
Well it's a fine display.
One large matrix, mmc Alita-1 and the Defencor of your choice and you're golden.
Sell a kidney. But, it just doesn't necessarily have to be your kidney.
My original collection room got a fresh coat of paint and some brand new carpet, so I moved my collection back in there tonight. It felt too crammed in the other room. Itll be staying here until my house gets sold which will hopefully be this spring.
Love your collection! This is a collection that I think is ideal, not too much, not too little. It's definitely fun to organize and moving around the figures from time to time.
Haven't done a huge photo dump in a while and since I've been painting a reconfiguring combiners it seems like the perfect time to showcase them
Not going to pose your Nova Prime Combiner?
I don't have one. I stuck limbs on him for 30 seconds and decided he was much better off on his own.
Fair enough, I'm customizing mine
Had some time to kill yesterday so I figured it would be a good idea to dust the shelves off again. But like it always does, cleaning the shelves puts me in the mood to rearrange them. So I did that too.
The shelf in focus above is one of the reasons I decided to rearrange. That shelf used to be on top but there wasn't enough space to have Galaxy Convoy's big guns pointing up like I wanted. So I had to adjust the shelf heights and swap some positions to make it work.
Physically swapped the middle shelves because I accidently put them in wrong when I moved everything to this room.
More width means more room for my "Wreckers" shelf.
Nothing changed with the Cons.
Another reason for the rearrangement is that I wanted all of the bottom shelves to be empty since I don't have enough to fill them all. Also they're not lit. Which reminds me. I need more (and better - preferably all new) lighting.
Hi! What figure stands are you using for your seekers? I can't find stands for a reasonable price, especially Bandai ones. BBTS has some nicely priced ones but not until August.
Tamashii Act 4 stands. I got two 3 packs from ebay for around $12 a pack but that listing seem to be gone now.
I've seen some board members say good things about these as well.
man, you will love earthrise scorponok:v ha ha
You inspire me bro.
A few 3rd party add-ons, a bit of paint and a good tightening of the knee joints, made the difference
Ok you'll have to showcase how you combined the SND kit with the PE Menasor add-on cause that's pretty clever.
It took time, but the best rule of thumb is to just take a Dremel tool and file down anything that interfears with it clipping in the back.
Not done yet though, still need to make a clip that will hold the sword on the back in its combined form.
