I added some styrene and sculpt work to AoE Voyager Grimlock's tiny dino thighs/hips/whatever and his weapon so his proportions in dino mode would look better. I also cut away the small protruding parts on the robot thighs that the dino-ribs connected to so those parts could be positioned higher and still sit flush against the body, and reshaped his cat ears to be more like horns. Then I painted him! Bot mode added.
Nope, except the dino head halves dont get to sit as low in bot mode. thanks! Thank you Cheets! Yep the very end is the end of classic Grimlock's tail with its nice little bit of articulation. Thanks guys. I added bot mode.
Are you taking these figures completely apart to paint them? I'd like to attempt customizing Galvatron too....but I don't really know where/how to begin. Any advice would be great.
Yeah there really isn't a lot of colors so even if not metallic, seems the basic correct colors wouldn't have killed sales or cost too much to produce. Not sure why they went with coloring the figure to be a tiger...
That tail looks so much better! I'll have to see if my classic Grimlock tail is still lying around somewhere...
