Meh. Paint job doesn't look better, and the hooks look silly and too long. If the hooks were shorter (so the wouldn't get in the way like the swords do), I might have gotten it.

I'm waiting for a Nemesis Repaint.

 

There's going to be soooo many repaints of this mould, I can wait.

 

Those are battle hooks...not battle blades.

 

I think he's trying to say they've retooled the Battle Blades Prime with battle hooks for the japanese release. I wonder if this will ever make its way to the west.

To be honest, I hope they also release a version without the weapons on the arms, they're just in the way of arm articulation. The guns would be enough.

 

it's a beyond safe bet to predict hasbro will be releasing the battle hooks version at some point.

btw,what ever happened to that jetfire voyager armor that combined with voyager prime? will the 2007 mold get swapped out/replaced with the HFTD voyager prime mold?

 

I don't think anyone has any clue as to when the "Unite for the Universe" Voyager Prime with Corpsemaster armour is coming out. but it's safe to say that the Battle Blades Prime is incompatible with the booster suit. the suit was designed for the Voyager Prime mold

 

I heard it was cancelled because of this new HftD Voyager Optimus Prime was coming out. Maybe we will get the armor for this mold instead?

 

Oh I can't see Hasbro NOT releasing this in the US. It's Hasbro and a Prime Mold, this thing will take the old voyagers place as the ultimate redeco king.

Well, the only reason I'd want the hooks would be to display Prime ripping Grindor's head apart, and since they're likely still too out of scale, I'll stick with hunting for the blade version.

 

I'll pick it up if it gets a us release, just got the hasbro version and I'm in love with it. I do remember reading somewhere that hasbro has the hooks and new head for a future redeco so I'll wait for that
