"I think there should be a Voyager Class toy of Optimus Prime's Western Star truck body from Age of Extinction."

I don't think that we're going to get one. Hasbro said at Toy Fair 2014 that there would be six AOE Voyagers, and we've seen them all: Evasion Mode Optimus, Grimlock, Hound, Galvatron, helicopter Drift and Slog.

Hasbro vaguely hinted that there would be a Voyager Western Star OP. Was surprised we didn't see it yesterday. Maybe at SDCC.

SDCC.. hmmm July 24th. It should be next week and I'm crossing my fingers on it.
Western Star Voyager Class Prime please.. And no back-pack ever. They should play with the Evasion Mode OP mold and make a Western Star sculpt out from that.

That's good to hear, if this happens then he should scale nicely with the other Autobots and Galvatron. Not sure if Lockdown can be helped though.

    Probably. But not necessarily.

Being later in the production line means the designers may have had more time to refine the design, and maybe have had more up-to-date concept art to work with.

Given that AoE's design is blatantly impossible to replicate in toy form, there's going to be kibble, for sure. But maybe he'll be better integrated, instead of a "hide the robot inside the truck" design.

    I demand a backpack!

Seriously, the CGI model should have it just so it looks like it can actually transform into the truck.

It's the main reason I prefer the Leader and 1st Edition designs over the pure movie one. Without it, he just looks an action master, rather than a full Transformer.

I'd expect to see such a mold reused quite a bit in the sequel. Right now I'm not to concerned the leader is pretty good If you can get it on sale.

Battle Blades Prime is still my "go to" Optimus for the Movieverse. Doubt Ill ever replace him in my Bay-verse display.

screw a voyager western star prime, i want a larger version of lockdown.. unless takara comes through with a DMK lockdown, which i REALLY want.

if that happens, scorn and slug REALLY REALLY need larger versions.. i mean, they're the biggest bots in the movie, but they're like the smallest figures of the main line.

It's not likely that they're going to do a leader Optimus and two voyager Oprimus figures.

i know they kind of did for ROTF but it's not like there's a 'complete line' of AOE figures which will be followed by a second line, we're basically getting movie characters put into the Generations line. I'm surprised Grimlock had both a leader and a voyager to be honest.

It's pretty much the same as Generations leader Jetfire. Would anyone expect a voyager version of that? I know we've got used to it happening with previous movies but they're doing it different this time and as far as Hasbro are concerned the Generations figures aren't the 'main' line and there are already multiple versions of Optimus available.

Of course whether we actually want them or not is a different matter lol
