that would be awesome, and playmates quality was ok it just sucks that they had the prototypes done for the rest of the figures and never released them, almost seems like a regular issue with these companies when it comes to this Franchise, mattel is another good example of showing prototypes and not releasing the product

My guess is it’s just a matter of lighting and, possibly, a dark tint added by their visors.

It seems like this would be a great time to get us to fomo into a line of nice pilot figures, no doubt.

Don't want to go back and scroll through a ton of pages to get responses, so I'll ask now: What's y'all's opinion on Blitzway's Voltron? Buy or pass?

Yes. Just give me a couple of show accurate robeasts and I would be happy.

I don’t own it myself, but the opinions usually seem to be a strong “buy”.

Presumably he's awesome because the FAR cheaper KO is spectacular. If I were you I'd pass on BW and buy the Musclebear KO.

Thanks, fellas. Not really a KO guy, but yeah the BW IS hella expensive. I'll have to give that some thought.

I have owned several Lion Voltrons. (Like seven or eight?) Right now I own the Soul of Chogokin and the Blitzway KO. So I don't have first hand experience with Blitway itself, but the Ko is exceptionally good for a KO, and it gives a good idea of many aspects of the Blitzway without owning it.

I have one or two problems with the Blitzway, like the Black lion does not "sit" very well, and the red wings on the black lion sit too far up off his back in lion mode. Stuff like that. But on the whole, If I were looking to own just one, final definitive version of the the Lion Voltron, It would be the Blitzway, if I could afford it. I'm personally sticking with the Soul of Chogokin as my definitive Lion Voltron, mostly because he's scaled with the Soul of Chogokin Vehicle Voltron, which I think is just awesome to have. That Vehicle Voltron is pretty much a PERFECT offering, and to have the two of them together like that is just an incredible rush. Also the rest of my SOC bots are of a similar size and so I'm enjoying on HELL of a super robot collection that is all shelf-compatible. Way FUN.

But if it were a head to head decision, with the only consideration being the better Lion Voltron, I think the Blitzway edges out SOC, mostly because the Red and Green lions are better sculpted, more dynamic, with better engineering. The tails on Red, Green, Blue and yellow kitty are all much, much better. all of their articulation is just a bit better. Voltron also has better articulation, but he's so big, it starts to become less fun to try to utilize it. That's not to say I think he's too big. I don't. It's just that his size lends itself to different enjoyment patterns than the SOC.

Is it worth the price? Huh. Well, probably not. Quite. But on the other hand, if it were my one and only Lion Voltron, I would not let that stop me. It's mostly by considering looking my collection as a whole that made me choose not to get him.

I hope these observations help. But in fairness, I think I should point out that this is NOT an easy decision. The price alone made it something I wrestled with for a long time.

I own the Musclebear KO of the Blitzway and minus a few small issues that don't affect the overall look, it's fantastic. My biggest wish is that they would have done a KO on the pilots that come with the Blitzway

it's gone on sale a few times so if you can find it at the low price it's absolutely worth it
