Are they still making those KO original Voltrons? I remember seeing those at the flea markets and some stores growing up. Always wanted one since I didn't know they were knockoffs, but never saved up enough money for them.
I think so. I've seen some on ebay for an average of $140-$150 depending on the seller. A lot of listings I saw had free shipping on them.
For Amazon it's $360.39 after tax. I really thought shipping from overseas was going to be a lot more, guess I was wrong
Depending on who you ordered from and where you're in the US, the domestic release is about $30-$40 cheaper with shipping included.
Where? BBTS was at $340 before shipping (maybe $344 shipped), and TCP was $350 shipped. ToyDojo was $340 as well, GameStop, Sideshow.com, EE, Awesomecollector.com, Toy Arena was also $340. Surething toys was $335. I'm not seeing any that was a straight $300 shipped in the US from any US retailers. A3U was $360. *edit* Hobby Galaxy had it for $325 but no free shipping from what I can tell.
Nice. I keep thinking of getting a Lionbot - I had the old Matchbox toy as a kit and loved it. You used to be able to get them off eBay for $100 shipped but prices are higher now.
Eknight had it for an initial offering of 319.99 with free retail ground shipping. Of course, depending on the individual state tax rules, you may or may not pay a bit more.
Idk I read a lot of reviews before settling on the "price" I paid, apparently there are cheaper vers. out there but the quality goes down considerably at least according to the reviews I read and I read like 15 before going thru as KO quality is all over the spectrum and I've been burned enough with brittle light weight plastic enough lol. Looking a bit deeper at the Lionbot there are a few moments where your like this feels like g1 ko Devy (I won't open the yellow lions cheeks again for sure) smmfh but that's the only place I noticed and I dodnt fine tooth comb it. All the lions are hefty, and they all transform and lock into place properly so I'd say great quality with 1 iffy moment that most people are gonna ignore anyways lol. I'm pretty sure it's not 1980s Matchbox lead paint quality, but arent a lot of those turning brittle and falling apart after almost 40yrs of life? You should get your money's worth out of the Lionbot without worrying about something just falling off or apart out the box or on shelf in 6mons
Wait so does "MP" VV just have a few different preset hands you swap out like a Gundam model? Or does he have poesable hands like an MP?
Is the Bandai Minipla the closest to a "'toon MP" where the lion legs are gone on the limbs of Voltron/Golion mode?
Swappable fixed pose hands and the solid hands homaging the toy with slots to slide the sword handle into. Golion is awesome SOC Dairugger XV land team review at Higekuma Toy Blog: 荒波に青春(超合金魂 GX-88 機甲艦隊ダイラガーXV 2:カイラガー) - ひげひげな、おもちゃの日常 He talked about wanting the Godaikin back in the day but couldn't get it, but now he has this. So far, he's really impressed with how some of the land team transforms since some of the components are so clean when transformed, that you can barely tell that they can even transform.
