Seeing how good Dairugger looks makes me crave an SOC Albegas more than before, such a simple design but has the potential to look very elegant in Bandai's hands(just hope they make the articulation good should they ever get to Albegas).

I still want the rumored SOC Transitron!

I was disappointed the HMR Xabungle didn't have working wheels.

Indeed. Although I'd also like to see a modern take on Abega too - the forgotten "Voltron" toy.

How popular was/is Albegas in Japan? I almost never see anything about it and when I do, it is due to its link to Voltron. I get the feeling the only reason it hasn't totally been forgotten is because it had toys released under the Voltron line. Even in the US, it is sort of forgotten often since it didn't have a show released here.

I thought I was the only person to have this toy growing up. Unfortunately my Beta leg broke off long ago, but the rest is still good. Ok, and Gamma's legs are a bit wobbly.

I thought the forgotten Voltron was Albegas? That does look cool. But it reminds me more of Diaclone like stuff than Voltron.

If I understand correctly, the 3 ABEGA ships were used by the pilots who controlled the 3 ALBEGAS (Voltron II) robots. Lightspeed Electroid Albegas

Ah OK. I guess it makes sense that there's a relation since the name is so similar!

I'd love an Albegas, though that would mean I would have to track down an original to compliment it....

I remember having two of the three Matchbox ones as a kid. It was frustrating not having the third one. Also remember the double hinge mechanism for the collapsing torso breaking on one.

I don’t speak a lick of Mandarin, but judging by their reactions and “gleeful robot noises”, I’d say they are happy with it. I’m glad to see that the knee and ankle joints appear so beefy and there doesn’t appear to be any major floppiness. I wish they would have moved the hip joints around a bit, though. Soon...soon...

I really enjoy the Voltron Altimites DX combiner. Even comes with tiny pilots. I created a fun diorama out of an old LEGO display. Check it out:

wow i'm very impressed with Lionbots quality on the KO OG Voltron, hefty, and a crap ton of accessories, firing mechanisms work great and it was super fast shipping, my only gripe is that the screws on the wings are not screwed in all the way. Also i knew i wasn't crazy, both Toynami and Bandai missed a key feature of the yellow lion and that's the cheek guns, had me thinking i had made it up in my head from 30+yrs ago. I like that Lionbot put all the stickers on bcuz I'm lazy and hate applying stickers

There's a good size diff btwn the 3 12" Voltron. The SoC is the shortest, not quite as thick as the Lionbot ver who is only a tab bit shorter, and then you have my fav the slim and lithe Toynami who is a quarter of a head taller than the other 2.

i have got to get a transforming Altimites I have the Nexus Castle and 2x Fortrexx making a huge castle to fake a Castle of lions on top of the Voltron detolfs
