I am subscribed. It just so happened Pre orders went on sale on a busy day at work. When I finally had time to check my email, it was already sold out.

Believe me, I've been there. Welcome to the frustrating world of official Bandai DX line collecting. Thankfully they don't make up the bulk of my collection otherwise I would have gone mad long ago. They may very well come up for preorder again.

I hope so. I refuse to pay scalped prices for this. I would love to have it. But, I can live without.

Ya, I wasn't overly impressed with what was shown, but I can't make a judgement on something until it's in its final form.

I trust in Bandai to make something incredible. SOC Voltron in my opinion is the greatest collectible (poseable) ever made and he was only $299.99.

Their DX Chogokin VF1-J is glorious and under $200 if you could preorder it.

Eagerly awaiting for more information along with a chance to PO it.

    THIS.

Can someone explain why, in 2019, it looks the way it does?

I got lucky. I was in front of my computer when I got an email from Toy Dojo about the additional stock. The window of opportunity was not open for long at all. Had I waited or hesitated another 2 or 3 minutes I would have missed it. However, no one should ever have to be in a "right place, right time when all the stars are aligned" type of situation to enjoy this hobby. With the exception of Fanstoys FT-10X (which I was able to finally score after much frustration thanks to a very helpful Taobao seller), I've never I had to go through this when collecting TFs.

I'm in the waiting game for final, or near final photos prior to judgment. I do agree with you though. IMO, there is no way that this is the final version of this figure. If this is the case, then my current Miracle Vehicle Voltron will remain on my shelf.

I guess they vastly underestimate the interest in this figure. I’m sure they’ll Reissue it again. But, when?

These Dairugger pictures left me unimpressed. And by unimpressed, I mean "I think it's ugly but I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until we see the final version".

A 3rd reissue? Has Bandai ever done that?

I completely agree with these statements. I was fortunate enough to get the SOC Voltron for $300, and picked-up the DX Chogokin VF1-J for the same price. These two are like museum display pieces that you can pose/transform (play with). So much quality in these figures. I've been collecting for 30+ years and these two pieces are the tops!

Looking forward to the SOC Voltron reissue although I already have one. I sold one last year and although I'm not sure I want another I just PO it just in case.

Curious when POers will go up for VV. I picked up the DX 1J for about $250 and tried preordering Max, but came up empty handed. Bit the bullet with NY and was done with all the searching. Honestly, Bandai is really underselling their
DX 1/48 line. Is should be priced between $249-299.

If they don't, they'll probably release the 'R' version.

I'll probably (realistically) miss the PO for VV when it comes up. I hate the PO madness and seeing how unpopular the VF-1A Max version sell out fast is making me dread what the VV will be like.

What's the, "R" version? I"m thinking we'll have a better chance with the VV PO because they are going to sell them to US distributors just like the SOC Voltron. How long that window is who knows. I got cart jacked so many times
trying to get Max and he was sold out everywhere within a few minutes which was infuriating.

The 'R' version is usually a recoloured cartoon variant. They've done this with past SoC and with Voltron being as popular I can't see them not doing one.

Yeah I got cart jacked with Max as well. Frustrating.
