These pics made me so jealous I farted in anger.
From LCM Toy:
"After review of some feedback from customers about the defect of the
first batch, Icarus decided to redesign the mold for some joints and
parts, so the second batch will have some improvement."
He refers to the first batch being the first COLOR (not Dark) release as Icarus Toys (2017); not Mad Toys.
It is possible, from experience, that Icarus just under delivered the units promised (or LCM oversold) . I haven't read of any of the Icarus Toys Color Voltron having defects.
Either way, the Mad Toys version was pretty good, the Icarus Toys one is better with wrist swivels and better anime chest mold. Plus the colors are better imo (from photos).. I own the Mad Toys, but am planning to get the Icarus 2nd run (3rd Run if you count the Mad Toys version ) when it ever gets here.
I need my bots with weight, clicks, and a whole lot of articulation. With the amount of extras this guy comes with, you can't go wrong. Coming from an owner of Dark Icarus Voltron and the Mad Toys Voltron.
thanks for the tip, just went and grabbed Voltron from my local B&N yesterday, they had 4 of them.
That's how ours looks now, too (minus the kits littered on the floor). Last time I was there they didn't have Voltron but they still had the Megazord.
Had some free time tonight. Can't wait to setup my other cabinet so I can snap some pictures of my other Voltrons. I never get tired of these guys.
Wish there was a less expensive option but still looked this good. That guy is way out of my price range.
Really like the play features on playmates Classic Voltron 84.
The lights and sound. All the accessories to create armored up Voltron. Just a fun toy.
Would you guys buy a refurbished Soc Golion (repaired one of the front legs of the yellow lion) for about $300 or keep waiting for a reissue?
I'd wait for the reissue.
What did you repair?
I'd rather buy the fantasy Jewel ko for $250. I probably won't do that either though. Too many other figures that are higher priority.
Uh, no, I'm not the seller, I'm the potential buyer.
I thought about the KO, but it's too expensive for being a copy. For $150-200 it would have been different.
My first thought was this looks very similar to some of my local B&N's but then I noticed your location. I live in NC also - so it makes sense. Which one is this?
Yeah, I was surprised by how much they are. Still thinking about getting them, though.
Is there anywhere that is selling Soul of Chogokin Voltron for $400 or under?
Same. After reading all the reviews, price comparisons, and since WEP or Bandai never emailed me back about the prospect of a 2nd edition SOC release- Fantasy Jewel seems the way to go.
If you find 2, let me know too. But to answer your question; no- unfortunately.
Anyone here a Tamiya spray color expert?
I bought the mini - pla voltron set and I want to spray some parts silver just like the SOC Voltron. Does anyone know which Tamiya silver color matches the silver on the SOC Voltron?
Did the seller say to what extent the leg was repaired?
@Jarrod or @anubis20 might know
I think you should buy it for $300. and then get the $50 KO yellow lion if the repair is not good enough. In all you'll spend around $350 .. looks like a good deal to me.
