My first thought was this looks very similar to some of my local B&N's but then I noticed your location. I live in NC also - so it makes sense. Which one is this?

Yeah, I was surprised by how much they are. Still thinking about getting them, though.

Is there anywhere that is selling Soul of Chogokin Voltron for $400 or under?

Same. After reading all the reviews, price comparisons, and since WEP or Bandai never emailed me back about the prospect of a 2nd edition SOC release- Fantasy Jewel seems the way to go.

If you find 2, let me know too. But to answer your question; no- unfortunately.

Anyone here a Tamiya spray color expert?

I bought the mini - pla voltron set and I want to spray some parts silver just like the SOC Voltron. Does anyone know which Tamiya silver color matches the silver on the SOC Voltron?

Did the seller say to what extent the leg was repaired?
    @Jarrod or @anubis20 might know

I think you should buy it for $300. and then get the $50 KO yellow lion if the repair is not good enough. In all you'll spend around $350 .. looks like a good deal to me.

    THIS. Right here.

Heck, you could keep the legit yellow lion and just swap the KO's legs onto it all easy peasy and you'll have a 98% legit SOC Voltron for $350.00 like mentioned above. That's a great idea.

In the end I bought it.
The damage was the black part on the yellow lion's shoulder had a tab broken. A new tab was glued and then the glue was reinforced adding some powder. It seems solid now, and it seems it won't be too difficult to swap the fault part with one from the no if the worst happens. Most expensive figure in my collection, on par with Maketoys Utopia...but it's beautiful.
Thanks to all of you guys for the answers!

This is a pretty good match but not as shiny, best bet might be Chrome silver

I would not recommend that one. One,its for polycarbonite (RC car shells), and will give you a rough, flat finish. But also it's not "sparkly" enough.

SOC and the Minipla Voltron both have a lot of metal flake in the silver, whereas Tamiya Spray Silver is very pure "chrome" silver. Go with Mica Silver, its got a decent metal flake content, and I've found has a FAR more durable finish that regular Tamiya Silver.

Thanks @Jarrod, I was looking into the tamiya silver leaf and silver metallic both TS - paints. Which of the 3 silvers(mica, leaf, metallic) you think is closest to the SOC silver paint?

Mica, for sure. Just did a quick comparison with a part I had painted in it, and its a near perfect match. It's also nearly identical to the silver already on the Minipla, so it would blend right in.

How much would the the time machine cost?

Do we think there’s a hope in hell that SOC will do a reissue for Christmas time this year?

-What reliable seller has Fantasy Jewel Voltron for the best price....Ebay or otherwise?
-Same question for Soul of Chogokin Voltron.
