You know, it's funny how Target and WM are so quick to clearance Voltron stuff, alarmingly fast in this case. Yet time and time again their shelves and pegs choke on wave 1 and 2 TF figs that they absolutely refuse to clearance to make room for new stock of later waves that people end up missing out on. Especially the last wave.

I was experimenting on different tools in 3D max, but rendering takes a long time, So I settle for something quick but acceptable. Never played around with plastic wrap, but whatever new things I can learn is always a plus.

You know you are a ba when you take a scrander bigger than you with your own hands to punch a so much bigger bot

3D max is cool and you're right rendering out those effects take time. Looks very cool. Best way to learn and I'm sure you know is experimentation.

Whelp, went by the local Walmart near work. No Voltron whatsoever. My friend reports Voltron is gone at Target now. Stick a fork in it, 96% certain Playmate's Voltron is done.

Yep same here. Was at Walmart today and half the shelf was bare but did have the tags on it for a reset and no voltron. I did find the metal defender lions a few isles over on the clearance isle for $7 apiece and that was all they had in the way of voltron. I still need the yellow and green lions might as well grab them online soon for the $20 apiece before they start jumping to $40 and more

my diecast legendary voltron. Had to fix neck for both deluxe and diecast version due to playmates being so slack to include head swivel in the first place. Yet again I have to fix up your mess playmats

Wow. Voltron certainly didn't last long on store shelves, did it?

Shame we won't get the rest of the Paladins/Pilots, but given how badly Playmates did the first three when I saw them in person...I don't think we'd have missed much.

The last gasp of Voltron toys comes courtesy of Sonic, of all places.

That is surprisingly pretty great for a kids meal toy. I mean, I would have flipped out over that as a kid.

If only he shot relish out of the green lion, ketchup out of the red lion, mustard out of the yellow lion and blue razzberry slush flavor out of the blue lion...

Nice, was it a simple mod? Can ya tell its modded?

I just need the black lion to complete my deluxe LD set. Wal-Mart has 5 black lions, but was waiting to see if they go on clearance. The other Wal-Mart in town put them all on clearance and sold out of the black lions before I had a chance to grab one over a month ago.

I went with the deluxe version cuz they're bigger, cheaper and come with more accessories.

    Nice.

Can I ask which printing service you are using? Also, you might want to consider a metal print. I bet this would look cool printed on metal.

I'm going with the HD Acrylic from here. Artbeat Studios – Professional Photo Printing | HD Metal, HD Acrylic, Canvas, Paper – Artbeat Studios. They do have Metal prints also, but my hope is the HD Acrylic will give it more pop, at least from what I researched that is what it seems to be. I'll make sure to double check.

Updated image. After a second look, I thought the logo looked to busy. Man I just can't make up my mind.

Yup it’s hard to decide when something is done. I haven’t done original drawings like you but even editing photos shot in RAW is a rabbit hole with no clear exit.

Let us know how you like it. I’ve only done conventional or canvas prints but I’d like to try metal and/or acrylic prints.

Looks great. I like the logo that is less busy though.

I'd like to know how it was modded, too.
