Look at the Toynami gallery on ASM. It shows MP Voltron with a base along with the weapons for each lion and key stored in it. Is this going to be a re-release with these goodies or are they just going to release the base? I'm hoping the latter since I already bought the first release. They should have packed all that in the first go round.

 

No clue but I really hope you can buy the base/weapons/key alone since I also have the original (second run though).

It always bugged me that it didn't atleast come with a Key.

I want that base so much. And the Robotech Beta would be nice too, though I'm leery on Toynami's Q/C. My Voltron is doing well though.

I guarantee you they won't be nice enough to sell the accessories by themselves. They wouldn't make as much money, otherwise.

Good news! According to Collection DX The base will be sold seperatly and have electronics it seems. Also their planning on releasing an all plastic version of him.

I love the key. That was always my favorite part as a kid. Now, if they can get it to do all that moving and opening in the base on its own...

 

I am in the market for another so should I but now or wait.

 

Exciting. Also the prospect of owning an all plastic one so I can fool around with it is very enticing.

 

I wonder if the all plastic one will be cheaper..

Or if it's worth getting vs the current "metalized" one... hmmm..

Darn.. I wanted a metalized one.. but the QC issues some people had scared me..

Maybe the plastic one will be better built.... darn I don't know..

I'd feel like it was lacking without the metal... (that's just me)


Edit: Went to Luffy's link and the plastic one is indeed cheaper ($60)
