Their web site goes on about their "augmented reality" video game.

    Well, on Taobao so far.

I'd guess sellers of Chinese KOs will try to get ahold of it.

I'm downloading the app for my Galaxy Light now, I'll see if it's a crap virus or an actual app soon.

    Okay it works.

The game is a 3D runner VERY similar to the AOE Android game where you make Optimus Prime and Drift run, jump and transform on a road.

I can't really use the character scanner, since I don't have scans of the cards.

Where does this information come from? It sounds believable, but I'm skeptical, since I remember in the past, you've made assertions such as combiner knockoffs sold in Family Dollar stores being "legal", too...

You'd have to be specific as to which toy I said was legal. You have to think though, Family Dollar is selling it, and the store chain is not stupid, then maybe I have a point about it being legal, or at least arguably legal and grey enough to get away with it. That's why they change the names, decos, symbols, etc. It makes suing (and winning!) them for IP infringement harder.

My knowledge comes from an interview with a Chinese seller I heard once. He said they could sell toys in China that were only about slightly changed and they would be considered legal there, but they weren't allowed to export them since other countries had stricter laws. That's why these toys are only made for domestic sales in China.

I'll try to find the interview. I think it was with one of the third party company owners - I'll check.

I did the math on the green edition. They want $7 for any of the 2 packs, or $40 for the whole set!

Of course then you have to add shipping and Taobaoring fees.

I don't know for certain, but the one that comes to mind for me (which you may not have even commented on) is the KO RID Build King.

As much as I loved the orange one, this green one could totally be my only 3P Devastator and I wouldn't even care. Fingers crossed Sirtoys or someone gets these soon!

I would totally be down for getting a set. I guess I need to find a Taobao middle man huh? Any chance they are on Alibaba? And by proxy on Aliexpress?

I have not seen them on Aliexpress YET, but you'd think it was only a matter of time.

It's pretty weird how their packaging and advertising features the CGI model for TFC's "Neckbreaker" (Bonecrusher), but the actual toy is just a remolded version of their "Exgraver" (Scavenger).

Yeah, the gameplay and controls are almost identical to the Hasbro Arcade Transformers game.

If this is to scale with the TFC Herc, I wonder if the Rage Upgrade set will work with it?

I bought it Upgrade set for my Gears of war 3 to have a gun, It will be amusing if the head will fix on this KO

they look basically the same scale, bro... simplified or hollowed out - but for 60.00 US, I think I'll finally have a tfc-like devy in my collection.
