1 Grimlock at Independence Target VAB

 

Alllllllllllllrighty then. Lets get some Grimlock action up in RVA!

I jetted over there on my lunch and there was one left! So none now. I did a quick look around and didn't see anything else of note, but I was in a super hurry since I was supposed to be lunching.

Now I'm done till Huffer and Inferno show up. Woo!

Now we need some grimlocks in the northern VA area

 

There have been a smattering of Grimlocks that have hit shelves around NoVA. They were first spotted at the Gainesville Target. The one I got by proxy from another board member found them at what I believe was a Walmart in Spotsylvania. The problem is most of the Target store managers around NoVA talk to one another and try to enforce the street dates just to piss us collectors' off. The key is to find the most green looking associate at a Target and get them to do a warehouse pull for you. The street dates are on the handhelds they use but they are not enforced at the registers. The entire Kingdom and SS 86 lines have rung perfectly although they are street dated for February 1st.

 

Also, if you have them look up the assortment DCPI (in my target thread) they won't see the streetdate. If they scan Grimlock's UPC it will. My local Target shows 3 "on the shelf" but there are none there, I'm pretty sure its because they were scanned in then put in a special "street date" area somewhere in the back room.

Because the "street date" is 2/1 and only a few days away, anyone who hasn't found one should go to a target on 2/1 and ask with the assortment DCPI and see what happens.

I took a pic of the barcode from another leader (one of the devastator guys) and scanned that in the in store ipad thing to get the data that they had 3 "in stock"

 

I decided to order him online. I am starting to feel the stores are not going to stock him. They seem only to get one box every other week.

 

Roanoke Clearbrook Walmart: freshly stocked pegs with Netflix deluxes. At least 2 Bumblebees present.

 

Oh, I had all of the 86' line on order...just been canceling them one by one as I find them   the problem is they are not due to ship for like 2 more months...

 

I had them on pre-order except Gimlock and Scourge who sold out on me on Pulse. I cancelled all of what I had after getting them in the store. I ordered Grimlock from cmdstore and he's already shipped. I just don't think they will be ordering multiple boxes of him to fill shelves.

 

I’m annoyed that I haven’t tracked down SS86 Grimlock yet, despite the facts that, 1) I’ve got him on preorder from Amazon, and 2) that as a $50, early-wave Leader class figure, he will almost certainly linger on retail shelves in the near future.

I also keep reminding myself that I have the following:
-WFC Grimlock (w/ the excellent Iron Factory upgrade kit),
-POTP Grimlock (w/ the crucial PE upgrade kit),
-BMB KO Leader-size version of POTP Grimlock,
-Planet X Vulcan,
-Reximus Prime (the OSKO of MP Grimlock),
-Gigapower Superator.

Truly, my Grimlock cup runneth over.

And yet, I want that SS86 Grimlock now...

 

One can never have enough Grimlock.

 

No Masterpiece Grimlock?  

 

Greenbrier Target remains barren.

 

There is a singular SS86 Leader Grimlock up for grabs at Gainesville Target. Something also to note; it appears some of the Cyberverse Spark Armor figures are being rebranded under the Buzzworthy Bumblebee stuff.

 

Alright my fellow Virginians, on Friday I will be going on my largest expedition yet. I will be hitting 4 Targets and 4 Wal-Marts in one single day.
